Sen. Kerry gave a "Thumbs Up" at President Reagan's service today. This seems to me totally inappropriate. Just who is he giving the Thumbs Up to? Certainly anyone standing in line for 8 hours to pay their respects to the Gipper is not going to vote for Senator Liveshot! Maybe it was to get on the news?

It worked. His mug is all over the news.

That's quite misleading. He gave a thumbs up in his limo, not at the service.

I don't think while leaving the library, a thumbs up was appropriate, no matter what. But then, of course, I'm kind of old fashioned.

He gave a thumbs up in his limo, not at the service. Was it a limo, or was it the big ol' honkin' SUV that his family - not he himself - owns?

I agree with you about the thumbs up.
Shows lack of class.

What...he didn't flip the bird this time?

He should have kept a low profile. It's not dignified to give a thumbs up at a funeral -- even if he was in his own limo.

No telling where that thing's been.

Maybe he was just saying "it's cool that you shlubs are waiting 7 hours in line. Not as cool as me though, I just waltzed on in".

The Thumbs Up --- seriously inappropriate. Think about it if Clinton died and Bush went to see him and Thumbbed Upped reporters. They would scream like bats. Amazing. That people cannot see through this man whose only depth is the never ending sinkhole of his low character just frightens me.

Even that was totally inappropriate.
He could have waved unobtrusively to his supporters, the way you just wave your hand once goodbye, or just nodded.

Couldn't agree more - man what a loooooooooser - I am utterly po'd that they even let this creep in - to think that his full MINUTE in front of Reagan's coffin could have cost a few people their chance at the end of today - he is a selfish, self serving, despicable creature who has clawed his way up the social latter by marrying "well".....

Perhaps it was an SUV. Kinda hard to tell from the photo. But I doubt it was his, as he'd only flown into California shortly before. Maybe the thumbs-up isn't appropriate even when leaving, I guess that's open to interpretation. But the headline leads people to believe it was actually during the Service.

Let him do whatever he wants.
I am sure that both John Frickin Kerry and Michael Jackson still believe that all publicity is good.
