Senator John Kerry - Democratic National Committee Fall Meeting Washington, DC October 3, 2003 TRANSCRIPT

"I'm proud that I stood against Ronald Reagan, not with him, when his intelligence agencies were abusing the Constitution of the United States and when he was running an illegal war in Central America."

- John Funeral-Attendin' Kerry, October 2003.

Why didn't this jerk have to wait in line? I guess some animals are more equal than others.

I can get past his not standing in line like the rest of those who truly loved President Reagan, but bringing a freaking cameraman along? There is just no decency among the left.

I was about to say they have no moral compass. But, they do understand right from wrong, they just always choose the wrong.

I was just reading in Drudge that he had planned on walking by when less then a minute later Neil Cavuto showed a live clip of the Ketsup man standing there and making the cross. I wonder how many people he pushed out of the way?

Kerry performed the Catholic Sign of the Cross.

He did it more to bless and pray for his campaign, not to bless and pray for Reagan.

Lester Holt had announced a short while ago that his appearance was imminent.

He said that Kerry had tried to call Nancy yesterday, but was unable to reach her (I would think not).

They then went to one of the young reporters with Kerry who emphasized in his earnest way, that one mustn't think Kerry came to California as a stunt, and he explained about Alexandra's graduation (note: Kerry's original campaign schedule had him here in Tucson today. I'm not sure if Alexandra's graduation is later today or actually tomorrow), and that since he was in the LA area, they felt it fitting he should make the trip (I just report, you decide).

The MSNBC went to the Reagan Library as soon as Kerry emerged from a "holding room" as Holt described it. Kerry was wearing a blue tie. As I'm sure is noted by others on this thread, Kerry looked solemn, did the Sign of the Cross, put his hand briefly over his heart (like doing the pledge of allegiance), then went escorted with his crew back to his holding room.

According to Lester Holt on MSNBC, he called Nancy Reagan yesterday. She didn't take the call.

" Sen. John Kerry said Tuesday that the Reagan administration would be "happier to wait until many Vietnam veterans die . . . from the diseases from which they are suffering," rather than reach a conclusion on the effects of exposure to the wartime herbicide Agent Orange. "
