By 6 a.m. Tuesday, more than 40,000 people had gone through the library, said Duke Blackwood, the library's executive director.
"We knew it was going to be high, but quite honestly we didn't know it was going to be this high," said Gary Foster, a Reagan family spokesman.
The demand caused traffic to grind to a halt overnight on the Ronald Reagan Freeway, with delays of up to four hours, said Mary Clark, a California Highway Patrol dispatcher. Mourners who made it through the traffic reported waiting up to eight hours for a shuttle bus at Moorpark College, even though the number of buses was doubled to nearly 50. Prayers are being answered ...and it's going to grow and grow!

I really wanted to go, but the traffic is impossible for me to deal with.
Hillary is probably having a gallbladder attack over this...

When I heard this estimate over the weekend I felt that they were way off. By bet is 400,000 at a minimum.

You GOTTA see it. There's lines of cars backed up for over 3 hours on the freeway in BOTH directions. The line is MASSIVE snaking through the entire school five deep. 50 buses are moving and it's not making a dent. The wait is a solid 8 hours in line.
Last night they estimated that 23000 people were in line! This is so great. Also saw the Freeper mobile home parked right smack in the middle of the parking lot. What a wonderful tribute.

Looks like they are having more that that just at the library.

I had a fleeting thought of hitting it last night at 2am, but it seems like a few other thousand had the same idea. Looks like I'll be swinging by this fall when it's a little bit more peaceful.

Some 2000 per hour are going through the Library.
Freeway leading to the Library was jam-packed to a stop at 4 a.m. Calif time this morning.
Waits was 3.5 hours and expected to increase to 5 hours.
[Now, word is that Kerry plans to show up around 2:00. That will stop the flow for another hour or so, since he and his group will probably crash the line.]

That Sound You Hear Is Hillary's Teeth GrindingThe Dems are relieved -- with good reason -- that he didn't pass away in late October.

(Just my opinion, of course. Your mileage may vary. You have the right to be wrong.)

Am frequently watching the line on CBSnews web feed.
Some Air Force Cadets just came through the line. One, turned to the casket, saluted. Very touching; very respectful young men.

We were also planning to go, but when we saw on KNBC that people who had been waiting all night still had not gotten in, we decided we just wouldn't be able to do it. My husband has a very bad back, and would not be able to stand in line for even two hours, much less 6-7.

"The Dems are relieved -- with good reason -- that he didn't pass away in late October."
Well, they need a "Depends" change, because it's going to stay on peoples' minds long past October.
The turnout is very reassuring for Conservatives; it reassures us the gobbledegook being churned out by the liberal media and dem politicians is mainly "sour grapes".
We are seeing "the silent majority", personified. Sure, this is chapping hitlery's butt, along with the rest of the hard left bunch, but that's the way the mop, flops.
But, none of that trash being spread by the media makes any difference; Iran-Contra was a democRATic witch hunt, which netted them nothing other than some face time on TV.
Ronald Reagan made us all proud to be Americans again...not "party members" like the commie/libs, but true, freedom-loving, Americans."
The media is going to bring up everything from the Contra thing, to what Reagan fed his dogs...but it's all fluff; the people of America saw the real Ronald Reagan in his smile, his demeanor, and that twinkle in his eye.
Although hitlery and her ilk consider themselves the center of the intelligent universe, people care capable of judging character without a liberal know it all pointing the way.
To anyone who doesn't think Reagan was a great man...let me point out that he has been incommunicado for years from his disease, and is now deceased, and he is STILL sending democRATS into a tailspin. They are frantic, mantic, and are in a panic over the fear that some of their "people" might actually hear how great Reagan was.
And, if it takes just a little wind out of the clinton "book"...I'm glad. clinton isn't worthy to suck Reagans dirty socks.
