Howlin would give up the rest of her life to be at that College orientation with her son.

Listen to her.

"For the love of God, will you let it drop?"

I agree, let's drop it! I remember when my Dad died, I was in a cloud and for the life of me don't understand why in the world I chose a colorful dress. So please don't be too hasty to throw darts! God Bess the Reagan family, they have acted with GREAT CLASS! THANK YOU SO MUCH MR. REAGAN FOR LETTING US BE A PART OF YOUR FAMILY IN THIS TIME OF SORROW!

NO thatcher will not be attending but will deliver a taped eulogy. Will be the first time a foreigner has delivered a eulogy for a former pres. state funeral.

GO MAGGIE : )

I don't know the story of the secret service agent. The story I heard, I believe, was told by the man who is editing Patti Davis' book. (Don't quote me on that, because honestly, with all this constant commentary going on, I've had to learn to tune most of it out.) But as this man starting talking about the final moments, I paid attention. He was on Fox News Channel.

He said that just prior to passing, with the family gathered, the President opened his eyes one last time, and looked directly at Nancy. And that though his eyes had been clouded for so much of the recent past, this time, they were clear. He said it was quite important to Nancy, in that the clouded eyes had troubled her so.

And he said that Michael said, (this is a paraphrase): How wonderful that the last thing he saw here, was your wonderful smile, Mom, right before he got to see the face of God.

I had heard that Mrs. Thatcher would attend, but that her eulogy would be taped.

I didn't realize, but she is in poor health herself.

Whiskey 15, summer of 1971

The Cape May Boot Camp Honor Guard was a pretty good outfit; they practiced every day, close order drills. From a distance, you could not tell that they were recruits who had only been in camp six weeks.

We used the Garand M-1; but they used clean Springfields.

I don't remember exactly, but somewhere around the third week of camp, during a routine formation, somebody, a chief or a first class petty officer, went down the ranks and examined the stature of the tallest seamen recruits. They were asked some simple questions, and then a few were summoned for trials.

We had one guy out of a company of 99 men, enter the Honor Guard.

Are you sure Thatcher is coming? she has had several stokes and last I heard she will deliver a taped eulogy. I heard she can not travel and I hope for her own health she stays home if that be the case.

what exactly is Shep Smith saying that is offensive?

did he ever come up for trial in that Florida incident where he ran into that person while trying to park?

I thought it a little awkward at first, too, but I doubt it was deliberate. I don't think Mrs Reagan would stand for that this week. Mrs Reagan conferred with the minister then Patti and it appeared that Ron was close enough to overhear but not Michael. Michael's wife sat between he and Ron, I just don't think Michael could hear the whispered conversation.

Gorby held him in high regard-- you could tell. In the shots he looked at him with an awed look on his face.
