Michael has been in a lot of the coverage this morning.
We can not expect him to hold Nancys hand when her own children are there and surely MR knows he is not expected to do so. He has kissed her cheek on tv, he has been dignified. I find it bizarre that some freepers think he is being snubbed.
I may even get more upset if the clothing story continues.

That was a terrible time. In fact, from then until about 1980 was a terrible time. November, 1992 to December, 2000 wasn't too great either (except for the Republican mid-term landslide in '94).

Dress codes are long a thing of the past, alas. I remember when I went to Europe in 1968. I wore a suit and a HAT! When I went to San Francisco in the 50's with my mother, we always wore gloves.

Lol; and don't forget to read the manual so you can set the clock and preogram it to start recording while your gone.. :-)

Well, I am comforted by the fact that the horrrible people are gone from the White House.
I can't think of a worse time in our history than the Carter years, though. Clinton was worse in some ways, but for all-around, concentrated incompetence, Carter holds the prize.

Well I see I missed it. Took kid to MD, all is well. Watching the people file by now. Will check the thread for pictures, I heard about the DNC flag at full staff and Peturd Jennings mention about Rodney King on Rush's show.
The RATS are heavily medicated at this point. I have to agree with Peggy Noonan that by Friday they will be tearing their fur off and have crazed, glassy eyes.

But I recall that one of the news shows mentioned that the boots would, in fact, be President Reagan's own. Very cool, Tonto... I'll be looking for that.

I was commenting to my hubby on Saturday afternoon, after the initial announcement of President Reagan's death, Fox brought Brit back from his weekend, and he and Mort and Fred and Bill Kristol sat around with some wonderful reminiscences of their personal experiences with him.
It reminded me of some of the wakes I've been to. You're mourning, but you remember the wonderful times you had with the departed loved one. You're crying one moment, then laughing, then crying again.

Don't miss one minute with your son.

I have the same problem, child's college graduation out of town.
I'm setting up 2 different VCRs, so that I can be sure to get the morning events in DC, then the 2nd machine can record later in the evening out in Cal., 6 hours on each machine, should get most of it.
I think a lot of it will be replayed on cspam though, if not late at night on other networks. But who knows for sure at this point.
To: cantfindagoodscreenname
I have to work all this week.I will be taping it.

What cracks me up is to see bald, often pasty white, men standing in direct, beating, burning sunlight with no hat on whatsoever.

My son's college orientation is this Friday, all day. My parents didn't go to college orientations with me. I don't remember parents being that involved in that.
