Reagan family has arrived in Santa Monica to escort President Reagan's body to his library.
Chief of Staff yesterday said closed casket.
PS: At a Hispanarepublicana-family funeral, Mom would have turned and spat--"All of our yesterdays would have been easier if you two hadn't been such rebellious, ungrateful, hippy liberal BRATS!"
We are so blessed as to have had such a wonderful man as President of this great nation. I will miss him a lot.
I'm already dead remember..and anyways..it's "MY" funeral...literally and figureatively..right...LOL
I wonder if they will have a portrait of him near the casket.
I agree with you. And she has many around that are just like her.
My eyes won't stop welling up.
I feel like I lost part of my own soul.
What a truly magnificent husband, father, President, and human being.
I had a terrible rift with my Mother. We reconciled only 2 years before she died. I was the last to see her conscious and our final words were "I love you." I was not burdoned with guilt at her funeral, I was Praising the Lord we had reconciled, as I could not have lived with myself otherwise. I pray that Patty is doing the same.
LOL! Thanks for sharing!
Fox has on Walter Pincus....the commie!
You're right.
The same thing happened when he took the oath of office at the first inaugural!
ACK!! Pincus!!! Turning the channel!
I disagree about removing the cameras, but I do think the mic was inappropriate......this is a viewing....no need for sound.
Patty has written a beautiful piece about the last days with her dad that will be published Friday. I heard excerpts earlier.
Sorry for your losses. We have been spared (so far) and have only lost a beloved pet.
I just know that this is history in the making and I want her and her brother to be there. Had I been 5 and living close to DC, I would have hoped that my parents would have taken me to the JFK procession.
BTW, they are napping, so I can FReep and watch TV and listen to Rush to my heart's content!!!!
What an absolutely beautiful picture!
He was outstanding, wasn't he? What a wonderful sense of humor. Asking the doctors, "I hope you're all Republicans."
I think it's suppose to be in Friday edition of People Magazine
yes about the little birds and caring for them when they got injured and died...and President Reagans comments of flying unburdened to heaven...I was crying like a baby when I heard the letter...
