God Bless Nancy for letting us share in her grief and her last moments with her husband. I think she knew this was history and how she and her husband loved American and the American people. This is bigger than her tender moment, and she I think knows this. What a gal!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought Michael was being excluded. I don't think that's right even if Ron and Patti don't agree with his politics. This saddens me. Michael loved his Dad, too.

Did you all hear Ron whisper to his Mom "tomorrow should be easier".... I fully empathize, because to the immediate family--especially the primary caregiver--of an Alzheimer's victim, those first few hours are difficult and bizarre to say the least, when all of a sudden, "the world"--even if "the world" is your small town--is back in your life and "the world's focus" is suddenly back on someone you've--alone most of the time--toiled and worked to protect, particularly if "the world" pretended your loved one wasn't there because the disease, manifested in your loved one, was too difficult for them to face an deal with. The feeling is almost as if you've been in a cave for a decade or however long the disease lasted, and now you've exited the cave with "the world" looking on.
Our prayers should be for Nancy Reagan. We KNOW where President Reagan is now.

The people at the Home began to sing "God Bless America" Ronny would have liked that.

Yes, and let's not forget the Wellstone lollapalooza either...
To: Howlin
No....Friday there will be a private ceremony and burial.
Luckily she will have some time alone......without the cameras.

I heard on another thread that his mother Jane Wyman came down to be with Michael.I thought Michael was adopted as I recently heard how proud he was to have been "chosen" by his father.

I hope no one flames me for a very naive (possibly stupid) question: There will not be an open casket?

We should not look to much into the family dynamics at this point. Each of them is in grief and must now share President Reagan with the entire Nation.
They were blessed to personally know him. We only know the leader.
I would hate to see FR get petty over the Reagan family politics this week.

We live within driving distance to DC and have family there to spend the night with -- would you take your five-yr-old to see the funeral procession? How 'bout a 3-yr-old?We are in Phoenix and she isn't quite getting the whole idea and has dealt with several family deaths over the past four years.
She won't let me watch TV or check the net right now.
