I watched a bit of Bill O'Reilly tonight (I usually flit in and out with him and after the segment I watched tonight I was out).

He had Mickey Rooney via satellite and the guest I was thrilled to hear from was the reclusive *Doris Day* via telephone. They both were terrific.

Doris' story was that the Reagans had been given a big black dog when they were in the WH. O'Reilly ran clips of them with the dog when she told this--Nancy literally being dragged off by the big dog. Doris said she'd then heard that the dog was being left at the ranch in Santa Barbara and she said to a reporter from "Parade" that she couldn't believe that the Reagans would leave the dog there. After the story gets published in "Parade" of her saying this, she gets a call from President Reagan himself. She was so surprised she said. He told her the dog did not like the WH, that he couldn't run free and he described the accomodations at the ranch and assured her the staff took very good care of the dog.

She sounded just like she always has, complete with her laugh. I was just pleased to hear from her.

This is really weird, but last week when they started talking about the OJ interview, I remember thinking, "I almost wish there would be some breaking news so we don't have to watch this kind of crap."

Of course I didn't expect Pres. Reagan's death to be the "breaking news" but I sure wish they'd show some class and not air this interview. If more people were like Pres. Reagan (and both President Bush's, for that matter) things like "OJ" would not happen nearly as often. (IMO)

Dino kinda looks naked without Sinatra, though.

Wasn't this around the time that Dino and Sinatra had that falling out? And what about Sammy? What year is that, mid-50s?

Right, but it doesn't explain the plants. Can't be allergies. Is Bush more austere in his surroundings? Inquiring herbologists need to know.

RR's 2 younger children are still liberals, but we should remember that RR himself didn't switch to the conservative side until he was 51 years old, in 1962.

They've got a ways to go to get to that age. Maybe one of them will follow their father politically someday.

No, it couldn't.

I surfed by, saw his face and kept going.

A MURDERER given air time. I do not want to know what he has to say.

Disgraceful

Because of all he represented to us--a great husband, leader, a great human being. He made a difference in the world. He was real to all of us--could have been a father, brother, etc.

Needs repeating. Thank you.

Exactly! That is why I am so surprised she went ahead with the show. So tacky!

Why can't it be allergies? He could have an allergy to plants. Come to think of it, I havent' seen plants in any pics of the governor's mansion, or anywhere in the WH. HMMMMMM, it's a mystery.

Slime, both of them. For that matter, add Kobe, Michael, and Scott to the list of slime.

I cried all morning watching the live coverage..everytime they showed people and firetrucks on the overpasses, Ruffles and Flourishes followed by Hail To The Chief, but the hardest to watch was poor Mrs. Reagan when she laid her cheek on the casket. My husband sat and watched with tears running down his cheeks as well.

I need a new box of kleenex. Mine will be empty before I stop crying.

Greta made a big mistake with the timing of the O.J interview tonight. It was classless. I am embarrassed for her...can't watch it.

Killers will do that to you. Look away. Go to CSPAN or something dignified.

I just checked and CSPAN is back to live camera of the public walking by President Reagan's casket.
