Yes, you would expect them to know. LOL If not, they certaily have a building full of books and at least one will have everything they ever need to know about proper flag etiquette.

That reminded me of one I missed today, and just took care of by a phone call. The Wal Mart had lowered the American flag, but not the Tennessee flag. Made the call and the man said he would have it lowered.

I remember the Clinton/Hume interchange at the Bader-Ginsburg event. Brit asked the first question and I don't recall tears--Clinton got MAD. Like a little kid having a tantrum mad, not manly mad (natch). It was creepy--the public mask slipped.

I have some vague recall that Ron and his wife are separated, sometime this year, I think it was.

... they [Fox News] will air an interview with Michael Reagan (taped previously). ...

It was very moving. At least, it was to me.

He's been my hero for decades. I didn't have a hero until I read about Reagan, God knows how many years ago, and his early conversion from Hollywood to government. Before learning about him I didn't have a hero. When I learned about him, I saw him as my kind of guy, smart and confident enough to act casual and joke around, the sign of a wonderful person.

the family situations & logistics
determined who rode with whom.***

Yep, makes sense to me, too. It was good to see them all together, especially Nancy's kids there with her.

He had plants in the Oval Office! I never realized it before, but George W. doesn't have any plants, at least not that I've noticed. Wonder why not?

I got home just as Nancy put her head down on the casket. I totally lost it and have been in tears since that moment.

We have been expecting his death for years and he was 93 years old. Why is this so heartbreaking?? I am so sad.

Saturday night the Washington Post had a photo gallery on the Reagan years. They had the most wonderful photo, one I had never seen anywhere else.

Frank Sinatra, waltzing with Nancy, in formal attire at the White House. Reagan was approaching them and tapping Ole Blue Eyes on the shoulder, reclaiming his bride. Huge smiles.

It was fabulous, but couldn't be copied. Now I can't find it. Anyone else have it?

I don't believe Greta is having the O.J. interview. Could anything be more inappropriate?

Why is this so heartbreaking??

Cause it marked an physical end to 2 great love stories...Ronald Reagan & Nancy Reagan and Ronald Reagan & America.

Maybe Dubya wanted to be the only bush in there!

Good observation and interesting thought. The two men seem so similar. Maybe Reagan was more romantic and Bush more pragmatic?

IMHO, they are both slime. I cannot stand Greta, and this is the last straw. She is always on the most sensationalistic story she can find, be it Michael, Kobe, Scott (Peterson) and now this. I will NOT be watching her anymore.

Yes, that makes sense. I was just surprised to see such an "unusual" combination. Great picture of all four men.

BTW, not much age difference between the President and Bob Hope.

Dino kinda looks naked without Sinatra, though. :o)

Maybe my nerves are just raw at the moment, but I am appalled. I saw the commercials and thought there is no way she would air this program.

Because of all he represented to us--a great husband, leader, a great human being. He made a difference in the world. He was real to all of us--could have been a father, brother, etc.

LOLOL! Great one!!!

I wouldn't discount George W.'s romantic streak! His love for Laura is pretty evident--as is hers for him. I'm convinced the two of them would do for each other what Nancy did for Ronald.
