Reagan family has arrived in Santa Monica to escort President Reagan's body to his library.
It hit me this afternoon that the depth of the country's anguish over RR's death is because we all consciously or otherwise, thought of him as our father, and now he's gone. Even with Alzheimer's, we knew he was safe and happy in Cal. with Nancy doing everything humanly possible to make sure he was all right. The loss is enormous. Maybe America is just realizing it...and here comes Father's Day, too.

Darlin',
I didn't have time for it.
Did anybody bring up the Bay of Pigs debacle during the memorial for Kennedy? It's unseemly.
Remember when Brit made Bill Clinton cry? That was great.
LOL Speaking of crazy, this place can be theraputic(sp). Saves money on shrink bills.
Your right, sometimes its not intentional.
There is a gigantic one in my hometown in MI in front of a car dealership. I mean it is mammoth. It is flying at half staff and just the sight of it got me going.
***Are Patty and Ron estranged from Michael?...***
I'm still trying to figure out if/who is the "Reagan" who talked so much against Pres. Bush. Could that be the reason? I too wondered why they all didn't ride together--only Patti and Ron rode with her.
Ohhh, man, I just lost it.
I know. I just wish I was able to go there--it would be planned for me and spontaneous for everybody else. That's what he deserves.

Can you say "a little late to the party?" :-)
Michael and the late great Maureen are my favorites. Ron and Patty are flakes.
Indeed.
Looking at these pictures is reminding me of the last time I visited my in-laws. Wondering which would be the first to go and which one could possibly tolerate it and go on the best. Melancholy thoughts....

LOL....hubby says that sounds like something you(me) would do.....good job!
Michael had his wife and two children with him. I think maybe too much is being read into this.
