I was already a republican as a young man. But thanks to President Reagan I am a conservative. But thanks to hearing his speeches that I did not understand then, I do now.
His speeches could work today. Boy talk about hitting you over the head with a wake up call. This Man is brilliant.

Art Bell is saying the weatherman predicts he's "in for it" in terms of wind, in Nye County, NV, in relation to the Santa Barbara fire story. For the record, the Kingdom of Nye gets the weather we've already had. A pressure change is in order for Southern California, as far as I can tell. It's been hot and we're forecast to have a cool snap on Wednesday or so.

What do you think of the current GOP and conservatism?

Wait I thought Paul Harvey was on KABC?

I think President Bush is consrvative. But the house has sold him a bill of goods along with his handlers. Get a few things passed to appease. I will see if he cuts now untill the election if I was right. But I am afraid he has no conservative allies in the house or senate to back him up. He is no Reagan, but then again no one is.

Do you think the house is to blame for that? Or his staff?

I don't know the story about Matt or Lynne, and I have never talked to her. Perhaps some other threadsters will have insight, but tonight was weird in terms of participation. I do know that Lynne is a well-known liberal and Matt's a well-known conservative. Other than that, I can't answer your question. I'm sorry. Not putting the call through could have had more to do with content than with politics, though.
