I'm at least mildly curious about that myself, hoping that he's in a nice mahogany half-couch or even a solid copper full couch.

The casket in which JFK was buried in 1963 wasn't "original equipment". There's an interesting story about the bronze casket supplied by a Dallas undertaker right after the assassination, in which JFK's body was transported from Texas to Washington. Conspiracy buffs have latched onto this story as "evidence" of government complicity in the assassination. This casket was apparently damaged during the trip, and RFK ordered it dumped into the ocean off the coast of Delaware in 9000 feet of water after the funeral.

I've read that story.

I now see that the Marcellus Casket Co. went completely out of business last year.
