WASHINGTON - (KRT) - He was the nation's greatest booster of "family values."

He was also America's first divorced president. But Ronald Reagan's marriage to second wife Nancy was as close and strong a partnership as the White House has ever seen.

"I miss her if she just steps out of the room," he wrote in a 1990 autobiography, "Ronald Reagan: An American Life," adding in his dedication, "I cannot imagine life without her."

She was at his side from the time of their Hollywood marriage in 1952 through his last years, as he suffered the ravages of Alzheimer's disease.

Any sense of decency at all would dictate that this screed (if true) at least wait until after the funeral.

Where is the Barf alert?

Exactly what I was going to post here. This article is absolutely unbelievable... >:-(

What a crock. So, I am guessing this guy is insinuating the first divorced (gasp!) President's family was dysfunctional based on Patti's accounts. Nevermind that dearest little Patti reportedly had a fondness for LSD, cocaine and amphetamines. Patti changed her name in protest at her loss of privacy following her father’s inauguration. Patti, the women's-libber, didn't seem to jump on any soapboxes for the role her mom played... actress who gave up career to raise children and support the most successful President in the memory of at least current living humans.
Dysfunction, spit. By the very definition of HEALTHY FAMILIES, the Reagan's accepted the difference of opinion of their children with unconditional love. Sounds to me like they set healthy boundaries... you are welcome, but leave your garabage (and protest fits) at the gate... I am President of the United States. Which means I have commitments and responsibilities, really BIG ones.
According to leaders in the "dysfunctional family theory", 96% of ALL families are dysfunctional. Any other "science" would be questioning the "method" of data collection, etc.

What do you expect from the left all it has is hate. Take hate and fear away from them they have nothing at all. These bed wetters on the left despised this man because he had a core and character something that relativism doesn't take into account.

Their "HERO".

On May 19, 1962, President Kennedy publicly celebrated his birthday at Madison Square Garden with 15,000 people in attendance. The most memorable moment of the evening was when Marilyn Monroe sang 'Happy Birthday'. She appeared in a $5,000 flesh colored, beaded gown which she was literally sewn into. After her performance, the President responded, "Thank you. I can now retire from politics after having had 'Happy Birthday' sung to me in such a sweet, wholesome way."
