Hollywood sources tell LA Weekly columnist Nikki Finke that former President Ronald Reagan's medical condition has suddenly worsened. "He really took a downslide today," the insider told Finke Friday evening. "Doctors are at the house. Things aren't good." At the start of the day, several news organizations chased down a rumor that the ex-president had died, but it wasn't true... Family members gathered at the Reagan's Bel Air home late Friday... Developing...
That is despicable. If it were anyone but DU it would be hard to believe anyone could be that cynical.
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my infrequent miscellaneous ping list.
Whomever is in charge of protocol for his eventual funeral - do NOT invite Bill Clinton. Make a statement that Ronnie would make - Clinton was beneath the standards of our nation.
Farewell Address to the Nation, January 20th, 1989
God bless Ronald Reagan and his family

Back in the early '90's I had a set of cassettes with a bunch of his best speeches on it ... would love to have a those on CD ... contrary to the charicatures, he knew his stuff and better still, knew how to articulate it in a way the normal folks could understand.
I'll be praying for President Reagan and Nancy, and Patti and Ron and Michael.
"...do not politicize this."
Correct. But as I thank God for Ronald Reagan, I can't help but be thankful that we didn't lose him during the Clinton years. I don't think I could've endured seeing Mr. Smarmy and the wife acting as if they gave a damn.
He was funny, gentle and caring yet you knew he could have a merciless heart of steel, if his country needed it.
I think of W as Reagan; part 2....:)
Prayers for the Gipper and his family.
God be with you and your family. I can't imagine the day when I am in a similar situation, loving my parents as I do and needing them here with me, yet wanting them to be happy and free.
Michael Reagan broadcast a previous program today.
Have you read "What I saw at the Revolution" by Peggy Noonan? I remember at the beginning of that book she wrote a most wonderful depiction of how Reagan's funeral would be. I hope it's like that.
Georgia loves Reagan.
Thanks for the notice PE. Sad news.
Thank You Ronald Reagan. The first President I voted for when I became old enough.
I had been fearing this for the last couple of days and each morning I got up I would check the news. In my younger days I was a proud Reagan Democrat and will always have nothing but respect for the man, who won the cold war and made America a Superpower once again. May he find peace in his new life, when it comes to that.
I actually think the enemy GWB is at war with is far worse than the Soviets, who were at least ... human. They actually kinda cared if they died!
