COMMENT ON THE POPE
To: alaska-sgt
Bush seems like he is about to cry watching the Pope try to read this. It's sad.

The Pope is speaking right now. Most of his speech is incomprehensible--I can pick out every 3rd or 4th word, even though he's speaking in English--but I did hear him say, "resolve the situation as quickly as possible" and "United Nations."

Lots of pained expressions as Fox panned the crowd.

The Pope can't even turn the pages. He has an aide do it. Parkinsons is really taken a toll on him.

"The Pope's performance is a bit shaky." I know you weren't trying to be funny.
Finally the old guy has something good to say about America......and we know of course, the President knew ahead of time what the Pope's script.

I cannot even watch it...it is so pathetic.
I am praying that President Bush is given the strength to sit through this horrible scene.
My son is still watching and asking why they do not have a screen behind the Pope with a copy of the text so people can understand what he is saying.
