Loyalties can change in a flash. If someone waves a 5 million dollar book deal in front of him, he could turn on a dime. Bush was obviously blindsided by this guy today - so why are we expected to instantly believe he will be loyal?
I can't imagine what it's like to always expect the worst out of people.
actually, blindsiding would have been announcing the resignation tonight or Friday after Rush as show prep for the weekend mediots.
Oh, boy. You're still at it.
#1. There is NO evidence that Tenet has ever been or plans to be disloyal to the president.
#2. Some analyst was on CNN (I don't watch that channel often enough to remember the guy's name but I've seen him before speaking about the WOT specifically - Peter something?). Anyway, said analyst said that Tenet is so deeply loyal that there is no way he just popped in on the president last night and told him this. He likely has had ongoing discussions with the president.
#3. You ask why we are supposed to instantly believe he is loyal. You have that backward. He has PROVEN repeatedly his loyalty in sworn testimony and in his speeches and among friends and insiders he is KNOWN to think incredibly highly of the president. Let me ask you - why do you instantly believe he will be disloyal to the president?
#4. You are one of the most consistently negative Freepers I've seen in a LOOOOONG time.
Tenent and President Bush have probably been talking about this for weeks, this was not a surprise.
Yawn - I'm weary of your negativism, having scrolled through most of this thread.
