Not at all. He is in the Rangers, but I do not know what unit. He goes around guarding what he calls his "carpenter" and "doctor". Some of this nation building b/s. He has spent nights in tribal camps in the mountains.
I do not need to justify myself to such an inane individual as yourself with your married priests and other fuzzy "catholic" theology.
There's no way you can...your agenda is all to apparent.
Novak is saying that we are not doing enough to nation build in Afghanistan. You take the opposite approach, that we have just removed the Taliban and left.
You and Novak are both wrong. Hey, at least Novak makes money at it.
I smell BS. I don't know a single person with a close relative, *especially* a "younger brother", in a warzone who doesn't know *EXACTLY* what unit they're in, if for no other reason than to be able to track news reports to see whether their relative is involved, and to be on alert for reports such as, "members of unit XX were killed/injured/engaged in heavy fighting today..."
It would be like having a brother who was a professional major-league baseball player but "not knowing" what team they played for, and having no curiosity whether the teams in the playoffs might or might not include his brother's team.
Afghanistan is a old style outhouse - always has been always will be. We Americans almost always try to define success in the way we live and work. The rest of the world, for the most part, does not define success as we do. That is our biggest blind spot.
The Towel-a-ban is still a concern as some SF guys got it over the weekend courtesy of the towel heads. They must be exterminated. The next set of facists in Afghanistan may be more tolerable.
When the Union 76 pipeline is complete payments will be beter than poppy growing and will require no work for the citizens, then the drug trade will slow down.
FWIW the SF guys I know are having a blast in Afghanistan, as noted earlier the motor pool mechanics are not having as much fun.
I've read enough. Some anti-everything Kitten Chow, anyone, on this fine Memorial Day? Bring a friend, or two...
Of course you do, which is why you are doing it.
Married priests are not "fuzzy theology" since there are married priests in the Catholic Church.
Your politics, like your relgious views, are odd.
