You might be happier in a more conservative part of the country and by the way do more good as an activist. Both with federal and state and local politics. You're courage is becomeing rare, maybe always was. Glad I was not in that meeting. Whats in my mind ?.. You don't want to know.
Specter is a traitor, outright and obvious.. The problem is not with Specter its with Pennsylvanians. You have your finger in the dike, true. When the whole dike is the problem not some measly hole.
Thanks for your comments, but I can't disagree with you more.
PA is not a socialist state. Philadelphia and Pittsburgh maybe, but not the rest of the state.
The GOP controls bother houses of the General Assembly, the AG office, has two Senators with an "R" after his name, and a House delegation that is primarily GOP.
The only reason that we don't have a GOP governor is that we didn't put up a challenger in the last election -- a long story for another day.
Had Bush and Santorum stayed out of the primary, we would have had two conservative (not just Republican) senators. And even with the WH, the party and $14 million, Specter won by a lousy 12,000 votes. Toomey had $3 milion and a committed and dedicated grassroots base eager to see him win.
12,000 votes out of 1.2 million. A stinking 1 point win.
Confused maybe, but definitely not socialist. Not in PA.
