"It does seem unfair that under-18 sluts who know d*** well what they are doing usually can get off (so to speak) scot-free. "

Have you noticed that all the laws criminalizing relations between the sexes:
1. Are written by lawyers.
2. Generate lots of business for lawyers.

No amount of legislation will substitute for parents who teach their children to internalize the traditional American social contract.

Single parent families have proven unable to train their bastards (sorry for the non-PC approved term, but that's what they are) to become functional members of American society.

Never mind back to the future, how about back to the family?

The NYT Sunday Magazine once again lives up to my expectations.

Instead of doing a lead story on the war/Memorial Day/WW II Monument, they go with the mall rat B.J. artists. Wonderful.

Did a new Times degenerate write that article or did they just rehire Jayson Blair? Parts of it sound contrived.

''But now that it's easy to get sex outside of relationships, guys don't need relationships.''

Just goes to show there's nothing new under the sun. Even my Daddy, God rest his soul, used to comment disapprovingly on the 'free love' of the 60's by saying the attitude of young men would come to be, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?"

I guess I am an old man at 44.

Don't feel too old. I'm only 24, and stories like this only started to come to light by the time I was finishing high school. I find it just as shocking.

but I graduated high school in '88, and we had kids like this too.

My brother is 70 years old and he was conceived out of wedlock when momma was 17. So it didn't start yesterday
or with Clinton.

Good point. Teens and young people didn't just start having sex the last few years. They've ALWAYS had sex.

This tripe wouldn't be deemed fit for my high school newspaper. What's the purpose of it? To prove that there's no parental supervision anymore, that kids are dumber than dirt today? My kids won't end up like these mindless drones.

This whole article is absurd. I'm of the age to be friends with these people, and really, they sound utterly pathetic. I noticed that all this was up north, while I'm in Texas. Perhaps they keep it a little more underwraps here, or the religious influence is strong enough to impose abstinence, but either way, none of my friends act like this. All I've heard is speculation about girls that act like this, however, it's a bit different because the girls that are "loose" are doing it for male attention. Maybe that's a point the article entirely missed, or the girls just didn't want to 'fess up to. Also, I agree with the previous person that said a lot of this sounds fabricated because it is just so... hell, ABSURD. I've come to the decision that I'm either a lot more unconnected with the school grapevine that I originally thought, or that this sort of thing is a bit more quiet in the suburb that I live in.

Well, you know, this came from the NYT, the former home of the overly creative, otherwise talentless Jayson Blair. There seems to be A LOT of poetic license in this piece o' garbage.
