My best friend (retired Special Forces Lieutenant Colonel) gave the oath of commissioning to his own son at that event. The new Lieutenant already has deployment orders for Afghanistan and possible convoy security. My buddy and I commiserated with each other tonight. We wished it was us. Time marches on.
