So true.
* inserts tongue in cheek * Honestly, I think we need to alert AG John Ashcroft that the Islamist Muslim terorist jihadis have turned the tables on us by finding a way to disrupt this thread.
I wanted to share this theory, just throw it out here.
See, if there are any dots to connect?
Old Nuclear Bomb Lost off Georgia's Coast

Old bomb off Georgia coast raises fears in wake of Sept. 11
The bomb, 100 times more powerful than the one that leveled Hiroshima, was never found. Military officials said there was no danger of a nuclear explosion and eventually abandoned the search, leaving the bomb resting in the sand and muck between Tybee and Wassaw islands.
Then came Sept. 11. Suddenly, the unfound bomb took on new significance because of the possibility it could be exploited as a weapon of mass destruction or, at the least, used to make a "dirty bomb" to spread radioactive material along the Southeast coast.
"In these days of terrorism, I can't believe the United States is going to let that much uranium sit within a mile of the beach and within three miles of downtown Savannah," said Arseneault, now 77 and living in Knoxville.

What does everyone feel about this being in terrorist hands?
And dates...
Is this just a fairytale?
The 1001 Nights in both Arabic and in European translations?
A thousand nights and a night?
Is it just a myth?

Before diving into the Universe of the Nights, you should take heed of this Warning! These texts might not be suitable for children or PC-challenged adults; they contain racist, sexist, and speciesist¹ language and contents.² Burton's translation is not unchallenged -- quite to the contrary, modern translators consider it very opinionated and tinted by his prejudices.

ALF LAYLAH WA LAYLAH
The Book of the Thousand and One Nights
I would like to demonstrate on this site that there is far more to the Nights than just a collection of fairy stories for children.
In the Egyptian desert just after the Second World War a fragment of paper dating from the ninth century and containing the opening lines of the Arabian Nights frame story was discovered and subsequently published by Nabia Abbott.
Shahriar was a Persian king; not an Arabic sultan - and his capital may have been Ctesiphon. It certainly was not Baghdad, which was not built until 762 AD, 121 years after the end of the Sassanid dynasty

Caliphate
Caliph (ÎáíÝÉ) was the title taken by Abu Bakr, the father-in-law of Muhammad, when he succeeded him as leader of the Ummah, or community of Islam, in 632.
The holder of this title claims rulership over all Muslims. The Caliph combines four roles that are often distinct in the Western world. These roles are:
Spiritual leader of Muslims, the one who guides Muslims in new matters,
Religious leader of Muslims, the one who enforces Sharia,
Political leader of Muslims, the one who conducts relations with other states and administers the government,
Military leader of Muslims, the one who orders and conducts military affairs, in particular those regarding the conflict between dar al-Islam and dar al-Harb.

Dar al-Harb
Dar al-Harb is usually translated from Arabic as 'the house of war'.
In some conservative traditions of Islam the world is divided into two components: dar al-Islam, the House of God, and dar al-Harb, the House of War; the home of the infidels or unbelievers.
