There are about 753,000 Latinos in Chicago -- most of them Mexican -- making up about 26 percent of the population. In Cook County, about 19 percent of the population is Hispanic.

Fox may also use his visit to promote more trade between Illinois and Mexico. Mexico is the state's second-largest importer of goods. Illinois exports about $2.15 billion worth of goods south of the border.
