US planes, copters intrude in Pak airspace
FROM OUR Correspondent
MIRAN SHAH – Despite strong assurances that in future no incursion into Pakistani territory would be made the US aircraft fighters and choppers entered into Pakistani airspace Thursday night, which again raised eyes brows about their collective war against terrorism.
Independent sources confirmed that on Thursday night some US aircraft throughout the night remained in Pakistani airspace.
'However, no report of firing rockets at the target was reported.
Intensifying the hit and run policy against the allied forces on Thursday conducted a raid on a patrolling party killing 6 US soldiers who had sustained serious bullet injuries, while 4 attackers lost their lives on the spot. Besides, during the raid the attackers probably Taliban guerilla also damaged 2 vehicles.
It merits to mention here that time and again US troops intruded into the Pakistani side in their hot pursuits against Taliban and al-Qaeda members and Islamabad protested several times with Washington which has been saying such incursions took place due to porous borders.
Both sides stressed upon the need for having more meetings at local levels for better coordination and understanding.
On last Thursday meeting the commanders of both sides had agreed to do the utmost for ending border uncertainty and it was decided during the meeting that route in and rout out would also be checked effectively.

That's funny. Oops.

I don't know how they can even call it Pakistani territory they don't seem to be too welcome around there themselves.

...US aircraft fighters and choppers entered into Pakistani airspace Thursday night, which again raised eyes brows about their collective war against terrorism.

Why?

If we are out to kill or detain terrorist and stifle their agenda as such, does Pakistan object to such a directive?

Time to move the borders boys! If you don't want us "flying" over your country, hand over the terrorist or otherwise we will be "Marching" on your country. Just because we forgave 6 Billion in debt for your help doesn't mean you aren't under our watch.

The Nation objected, not Pakistan. Newspapers are all over the board politically in that country.

Which in most respects is far better than the current situation in our country.

you would think we could operate drones there without detection (or at least with deniability) - using Hellfires from them as needed on very precise targets.

why would the AQ leadership be anywhere that close to the border? maybe its Mullah Omar. I have to believe that OBL and AZ would not be there - as you said earlier this week, they would be best off hiding in a city.

Excellent. Long overdue to ignore historical fiction, aka, the mythical, mystical AfghanPak border.

Actually the historical area is called Pashtunistan or Pakhtoonistan, and is only divided because of the British Empire.

Let's go. It's been two years since we basically halted offensive operations in the area.

As far as I'm concerned any place commonly referred to as "lawless territory" has ZERO soverign rights. They don't want intrusions? They better police their own.
