These guys don't get enough publicity. Most of them I've seen on TV are very good spokesmen and have their facts in order. I would like to see them on Brit's show unopposed, so they could get their facts out uninterrupted.

Have I told you lately that Alan Colmes looks like a sick alien? No disrespect to the aliens out there.

I was shocked when the press did that poll where the people were asked if they knew skerry was a Nam vet. Most did not. Shows how much they listen to his dumb *ss.

Poor Alan, he does have a "vacant" look as he reshuffles the liberal babel.

Everytime I hear these liberals talk about JFKerry it is always about introducing himself to the nation. JFKerry has that same tone, voice and "vacant" look as Alan.

Oddly enough, I very rarely heard the term "gook" in 17 - 18 months in country.

I think you got the wrong generation.

And oddly enough, I myself who was never 'in county' have heard that term many, many times from VN veterans who were there -- and served. It was a very rasist term "Gook" but the folks I know who where there in Viet Nam, still use it today, but mainly between themsevelves. They know it is a hot button word, and wouldn't say it publicly.

So, I wonder - you served 17-18 months there, and rarely even heard that word?

I wonder about that.

No Sweat.
I guess youi've also heard "don't mean nothin'"
and several more.
Victor, Charlie, Mr Charles, slope, zip, dink, yadda-yadda.
Half are racist to today's norms and all merely serve to set you apart from the other guy - it helps when he, or someone looking very much like him, is trying to kill you.

Still, "gook" seemed to me at least to come from another generation; I think I said I rarely heard it, not never at all and perhaps more often after than during....

Not at all odd that it never occurred to me to walk up to a Korean grunt and say "gook" out loud or any other way.

He is 61 and lives in Wellesley, Massachusetts with his wife, Anne Goggin, and their three children, Caitlin, Conor, and Julia.

Well at least one of the kids has an American name.

Ya, guess I've heard them all, too. I guess I still don't get exactly what you mean by this: "Still, "gook" seemed to me at least to come from another generation; I think I said I rarely heard it, not never at all and perhaps more often after than during....

Not at all odd that it never occurred to me to walk up to a Korean grunt and say "gook" out loud or any other way."

Maybe that's the generation thing you meant, and I didn't pick up on it. Korean.

Seems most guys I know lump all Asians together. Is that what you mean, I think. I mean since Korea, that others refer to any Asian as gook. Seems like it to me, that might be right. What do you think? Seem right to you, too?
