No Sweat.
I guess youi've also heard "don't mean nothin'"
and several more.
Victor, Charlie, Mr Charles, slope, zip, dink, yadda-yadda.
Half are racist to today's norms and all merely serve to set you apart from the other guy - it helps when he, or someone looking very much like him, is trying to kill you.
Still, "gook" seemed to me at least to come from another generation; I think I said I rarely heard it, not never at all and perhaps more often after than during....
Not at all odd that it never occurred to me to walk up to a Korean grunt and say "gook" out loud or any other way.
Ya, guess I've heard them all, too. I guess I still don't get exactly what you mean by this: "Still, "gook" seemed to me at least to come from another generation; I think I said I rarely heard it, not never at all and perhaps more often after than during....
Not at all odd that it never occurred to me to walk up to a Korean grunt and say "gook" out loud or any other way."

Maybe that's the generation thing you meant, and I didn't pick up on it. Korean.
Seems most guys I know lump all Asians together. Is that what you mean, I think. I mean since Korea, that others refer to any Asian as gook. Seems like it to me, that might be right. What do you think? Seem right to you, too?
