Filmmaker Moore Says He Has Berg Footage
Associated Press
NEW YORK - Filmmaker Michael Moore, whose incendiary new documentary lambastes President Bush's handling of the war, said Thursday that he has footage unused in the film of Nicholas Berg, the American civilian later beheaded in Iraq.
The footage, of an interview with Berg, "is approximately 20 minutes long. We are not releasing it to the media," Moore said in a statement. "It is not in the film. We are dealing privately with the family."
Neither Moore nor his representatives would describe the nature or contents of the interview with Berg, who held staunch pro-war views.
No one answered the phone Thursday at the home of Berg's parents in West Chester, Pa.
"Fahrenheit 9/11," which recently won the top prize at the Cannes Film Festival, accuses the Bush camp of stealing the 2000 election, overlooking terrorism warnings before Sept. 11, 2001, and fanning fears of more attacks to secure American support for the Iraq war.
Moore's assault on U.S. policy got him into trouble with Disney, which refused to let subsidiary Miramax release "Fahrenheit 9/11." He is still trying to work out a deal for U.S. distribution.
whoops, my mistake. Thanks. I'm just so passionately 'in hate' with that tub of lard I can't see straight!
Thanks for the info on this crybaby.
Here I go again...I just read it for the tenth time. It says, 'unused footage from the Nicholas Berg film.'
Nothing about Farenheit 911.
Could someone print the original article here maybe?
It's an interesting question, but not interesting enough to interest the FBI.
Well, I suppose we will just have to wait to see what happens.
That is entirely possible, considering that he charged the families of the Columbine victims to see his "documentary".

This is an awkward sentence construction. The phrase "in the film" refers to the documentary, not to the beheading film. Later in the story is says it was an interview.
this is from salon,
May 27, 2004 | Filmmaker Michael Moore filmed an interview with American Nicholas Berg in the course of producing his documentary film "Fahrenheit 9/11" before Berg left for Iraq, where he was taken hostage and killed, Moore confirmed to Salon in a statement Thursday. The 20 minutes of footage does not appear in the final version of "Fahrenheit 911," according to the statement.
Thanks to both for your kind explanation. That despicable worm is still, in my mind, implicated.
I still want to know how he knew about Berg. The coincidence explanation fails to explain it, IMHO.
Dare I say "I hope you're right!"
Moussaoui, berg, moore..
This is apparently a coincidence?
wtf?! The FBI better be on top of this! Or someone!
I still don't buy the coincidence that a traiter like Michael Moore who has publicly cheered on the terrorists, and hangs out with extremists like José Bouvé who did prison time in France for bombing McDonalds, just happened to meet up with ( by chance of course) some guy who would later be publicly executed by the head honcho in Iraq.
I don't either. Something's fishy, to say the least.
You are too smart not to know that there are no coincidences, certainly none that involve three people seemingly unrelated, coming together in Iraq.
That's exactly what I meant when I said the noose was tightening around Moore. Coincidence is not an explanation. I see the release of this information now, that he has film of an interview, as an attempt by a guilty man to somehow throw sand in our eyes, or stave off accusations he knows are in the wind. Guilty people do that, and by doing so, they often only make things worse for themselves. A little paranoia sets in. He knows what he is facing should an investigation be conducted. I want to know, has there been an inquest? If not, will there be one? Is Moore afraid he will be asked to testify, perhaps? Is it possible someone saw Berg and Moore together in Iraq? Is there a money-link? Where did Berg's money come from? How difficult would that be to find out?
I continue to be convinced that both the prison photographs and the Berg video have the Moore MO written all over them.
Good question. We know little about Michael Moore, less about Nick Berg.
They traveled in circles with some pretty shady characters.
I don't believe that anything that connects Berg, Moussaoui, Abu Graib , Al Zakari and Michael Moore is a coincidence.
Dang...Jabba is looking better and better... ;)
