Excerpt:
First, I would like to bring your attention to a show on the Discovery Channel called Covert Action. On Wednesday January 14th, they aired an episode called Rat Hole. The show claims to be a re-enactment of true, covert episodes that at one point were labeled Top Secret. This episode details events in February of 2003 in which a US Navy Seal team is inserted into Libya to break up a meeting between a top Iraqi intelligence official and numerous terrorist operatives. Mission envelopes were handed out to the terrorists before the Seal team got the go-ahead to neutralize the target, which they did. Included in the plots were Seattle, American installations in Paris and assassinations of Iraqi exiles due to return to Iraq after Saddam had been disposed. I remind you that the show claims to based on real events and the producer is an ex CIA officer who has produced shows before which I know to be true and accurate. No information seems to be available on Operation Rat Hole anywhere. If you get a chance to catch a re-run I would recommend it.
I have tried googling various options from operation rat hole, covert action: rat hole and other such nuances, looks like unless Discovery plays the show again I would have to purchase the dvd.
