As a foreigner (NZer) I understand that it is precisely the complete and wholesale rejection of American Founding Principles by many non-Americans which is the fundamental point of all anti-Americanism. (Of course they must reject it: otherwise why do they not move to the United States?)

Looking through this perspective, it is easy to see why so much of the anti-Americanism in the non-US world is an alliance between worldwide socialist movement, Islamic fundamentalism, non-Islamic Third World nationalism, remnant Communist Parties, and trans-national elites. In fact, John F. Kerry looks, from a distance, neither very socialist nor left-wing: he is a kind of like a patrician true blue British Conservative. The type that you often see in British Colonial administrations in India, Malaya, or East Africa cicra 1935.

Quite an astute observation - an of course that is what he is. We call his sort "Boston Brahmins" in the USA.

Some of us Real Americans wish we could have another Civil War. At least then, you wouldn't go to jail for shooting the leftwing traitors in our midst.
