If conservatives thought Isakson was seeing the light on abortion, think again. He voted yesterday to allow abortions in military hospitals. His weak excuse was so servicewomen could have the same rights as women here. But if he were truly pro-life as his supporters claim, he would be glad to join with other congressmen in working to protect as many unborn as possible.

On the other hand, Congressman Mac Collins has a long voting record of 100% support for protecting the unborn.

Isakson decided he needed the newspapers and TV stations more than he needed the pro-lifers. He decided that in 1996 too, when he was booted out of the Republican primary for the Senate. Idiot.
