Gilmore poised for comeback bid
RICHMOND, Va. - Former Gov. Jim Gilmore began a long-term comeback march Saturday, accusing his Democratic successor of "deceit" and "extremism" to win a tax increase fight and winning a lusty ovation at the Republican State Convention.
Y'all know I'm no Gilmore fan, but I'm glad to hear him speaking up.
Our message to Virginians: If you want your money back, vote for Kilgore.
Jim Gilmore was as angry as a wet hornet about the tax increases. He gave a stem-winder of a speech. He was furious the General Assembly caved in to Mark Warner and raised taxes while covering up the surplus news.
Since it's an off year, turn out was lower than usual with the main focus to deliver Virginia for President Bush. The breakfast theme was a Power Point presentation about the Senate races with taking Daschle out the most important.
Little Timmie Kaine just signed his own political death warrant, and I can't wait to help execute it next year!!
