: ) Yes. He did spend a semester there before he went to Oklahoma in 1999. (a logical move, as it is a better and favorite place to study towers like he was.)
Somewhere in my Berg file (link on my profile) is a timeline of his moves, as well as an announcement by Drexel mourning his loss. There are also a few quotes from friends of his who knew him at the time.... those and his e-mails there are interesting reading.
