Siberians seem to make the best wolf hybrids.

Had a Husky when I was a kid. Great dog. Very smart.
We called him "Serko" (my Dad said that was Russian for wolf).

You know why Chihuahua's are so mean, don't you? Deep down inside, they know we did that to them.

There was a book published back in the 1980s called North to the Pole. It was written by Will Steger, who led a sled dog expedition to the North Pole that was intended to replicate Robert Peary's original 1909 expedition to the Pole. Steger had extensive experience in breeding dogs for this type of expedition, and in his book he mentioned that the best sled dogs in his pack were cross-breeds between timberwolves and Siberian (I think) huskies.

Had a Husky about 10 years ago, named Lobo. A very good dog but had to keep reminding him who the Alpha male was and it wasn't him. A couple of body slams and we were square for a couple of months. Before someone gets upset about abusing my dog, it was more like a wrestling match to get him to understand who the boss was. He was a beautiful black and white Husky with ice blue eyes, very intimidating to those who didn't know him.

Gloom despair and agony on me.
Deep dark depression, excessive misery.
If it weren't for bad luck,
I'd have no luck at all.
Gloom despair and agony on me.
