However, I bet if you compare lunch dicipline problems between this school and one that does not assign seats you will see a difference. Just a guess.
If you compare crime rates in places where the execute people for the smallest crime you would see they are much safer...
These are kids, not numbers.
Great point.
Teachers don't want to have to spend their lunch break being teachers. They want the kids to act as civilized as they are. Strict rules in the lunchroom and life is easier for the teachers.
the school DOES have dicipline problems.....that's why this is done.
We won't entrust the State with educating our kids.

Ah, the Russian sentiment....trade freedom for security.
Actually, I'm in a similar situation. Until further notice, we have to sit with our homerooms for lunch. I don't think the behavior has improved. It's not solving the problem. I can't talk to the friends I have in other homerooms anymore. Lunch is the only time of the day at school when we can socialize with our friends. And just how does this prevent kids from being in food fights or talking back to teachers? It doesn't add up. I'm a straight A student and I rarely get into trouble. Do you think it's fair that I (and all the other innocent ones) am punished?
