I agree. He came across as someone who was trying WAY too hard to be funny to actually be funny.
I never found him funny at all.
I like the movie about him(was it Man on Moon?), because it showed what a wacked out mental case he was.
And this "faking his death" and returning 20 years later is just morbid and pathetic at the same time.

After nearly twenty years, that song has finally grown on me. There are so many different aspects to it, and excellent musicianship throughout, all the way down to the bells and the latin bird chirps. It took a LOT of guts to record that song the way that Mike Chapman and the band did.
Do you remember when the Texas seven was on the loose, I had all of their criminal records.
I'll give the kid credit, it's a funny concept. But there's no chance that I would choose to come out of hiding this way.

What is realy fun is when we get a thread on here about a home invasion where it gives the perps name, and some start saying he shouldn't have been shot or whatever, I pull up his arrest record and it's about a mile long, that usualy shuts them up prety quick.
