Thank you for this post. It presents the decent, honest emotions of parents who want nothing but decent treatment for their child. May it set the record straight.
Terri Schindler-Schiavo is the real victim. She is not brain dead, she is not comatose, she is not in a "persistent vegetative state," she is not ill, she is not dying, and she is not being kept alive by artificial means.
The newspaper stories you usually see falsely portray Terri in those ways. Some people want to kill this innocent woman to advance the "cause" of euthanasia. Others, closer to her, want to kill her for profit. To do this, they and their allies in the press have to destroy our human sympathy for the victim. Otherwise we gladly help those who are hurt or ill or helpless, as Jesus did. We do not beat up women and we do not kick people when they're down.
Love them, because it is our duty. Love Terri, because it is our privilege.

Advice to the Schindlers: Get a new lawyer! One who knows how to deal with the system & the courts & the judges.
Your current lawyer isn't doing you any good. Please, I beg you, if you want to effect a change, YOU NEED A NEW LAWYER. Your current lawyer isn't strong enough or savvy enough or competent enough to deal with all of this.
Michael and the judges in Florida are throwing one roadblock after another at you. If you had a competent lawyer, you'd be able to toss these roadblocks aside as if they were styrofoam.
Get a new lawyer!

As much as we can't stand most of the Hollyweird types, isn't there one of them who has more than 3 functioning brain cells who would be a spokesperson for Terri? Has anyone tried this avenue? I wouldn't know who it could be but surely there's one and if there's one there's two, and three, and more. For some reason when they speak people tend to listen.
