That story is so sad. The couple moves from New York after 9/11 to be closer to family after the WTC attack.

Then the 4 ton girder which was placed by the contractors on 5/11 kills the family. Could have possibly been avoided if the 911 operator had not misunderstood.

I would be willing to bet, since the dispatcher assumed it was a sign, even though the caller said "I-beam girder" that the dispatcher was of LOW INTELLECT. ANYONE WITH THE GENERAL KNOWLEDGE BACKGROUND OF A ROCK KNOWNS WHAT A GIRDER IS. THE "CULTURE" OF THE DISPATCHER WOULD BE INTERESTING TO KNOW ALSO SINCE SOME "CULTURES" OBVIOUSLY DO NOT HAVE THE SAME GENERAL KNOWLEDGE BACKGROUND AS DO OTHERS.
