Another fine example of our porous borders:

As a convicted felon who was deported three years ago, Eustorgio Leonides Facundo should not have been in the country.

Yet Facundo, an illegal alien, managed to get a job last year at a Sarasota (Fla.) roofing company. And he was allowed to get out of jail after an arrest in April, when he could have been detained if local authorities had called immigration officials.

Late Thursday night, he was arrested on charges he killed a woman, strangling her over an argument about sexual favors.

Police say he and a Venice woman transported the body of 41-year-old Teresa Knight to a vacant, wooded area near Englewood and set it on fire. Facundo, 25 is charged with second-degree murder, and is being held without bond at the Sarasota County Jail.
