Muslims asked to help find security threats
(Waterbury-WTNH, May 28, 2004 5:45 PM ) _ The U.S. Government has a controversial message for Muslim communities here in the states. They are asking for help in generating leads about any suspicious behavior that may prove to be a security threat.
United Muslim Mosque in Waterbury is a place of worship, a place of faith, and a place where Muslims are being asked by federal authorities to take note of any suspicious activities.
"I think they should investigate whoever they need to," said Majeed Sharif, "but the question I have is the way when you target all these Muslims you isolate the Muslims more." (snip)
