An official of Iran's Revolutionary Guards has threatened the United States and other Western nations with suicide and missile attacks aimed at 29 sensitive sites.
"Our missiles are now ready to strike at their civilization, and as soon as the instructions arrive from leader ['Ali Khamenei], we will launch our missiles at their cities and installations," the Revolutionary Guard adviser said in a speech reported by the London Arabic-language daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, according to Middle East Media Research Institute, or MEMRI

My guess is the hypothetical nation the exercise "Blinding Storm" is designed to fight (whether they call it "Orangeland" or something else innocuous)is Iran.
A practice 21st-century D-Day. How appropriate.
Does anyone know if this new suicide force under the Revolutionary Guards is a renamed version of the Qods (Jerusalem) Force, or is it a different department? They are likely up to their eyeballs in directing what is happening in Iraq, and have been involved in other past terrorism directed at Americans.
And they will likely be involved in some way in what happens next.

hate to say it, but this sounds like a precursor to some kind of major event. You know what I mean? Laying down the gauntlet as a warning versus some kind of retaliation they might expect over a ... ahem ... forthcoming terrorist operation... i.e. "Here's what we can do to you and to Israel. Think carefully before deciding your next move."
