Al-Qaeda link: two arrested

JAPANESE police arrested a 26-year-old man from Bangladesh and a 41-year-old from Mali for suspected links to an alleged senior member of the al-Qaeda terrorist network today, news reports said.
They were arrested in a raid on several localities, Jiji Press said, citing police sources.
Police were seeking people violating immigration control and other laws, Kyodo News said.
They raided several locations in Tokyo and elsewhere after it was revealed that the alleged al-Qaeda member lived in Japan until last September, Kyodo said.
