I was just over on janegalt.net which is a blogger from NYC and they have a picture of ground zero showing lots of police activity today.
Hard core New Yorkers seem to think today's activity is unusual.

Thanks for the link to the blogger. It looks to me like a huge police presence where the picture was taken. Not being from NYC, I'll trust what the hard core are saying about this.
Certainly appears that something is definately up though.

Picture from site and someone posted-----"I asked several officers what was going on and they said it is a 'routine drill'. The security officers in my building (former police) say there are specific threats against the subways today."

Hard core New Yorkers seem to think today's activity is unusual. See my post at #1376 from early this morning. Penn Station was surrounded by emergency vehicles, cops and firemen today. Definitely not business as usual today.
