Anyone update on this? It is everywhere!
That I'm quite familiar with. Evidently my Pediatrician told me that their finding the vaccine loses it's efficacy after about 10 years.
While Whooping Cough (also known as Pertussis and the 100 Day Cough) is a pain in the butt virus, the immunizations protect the babies and younguns, where the disease can be fatal.
The Pediatrician I spoke with said that there are some wondering if boosters might be available soon, but I don't think enough testing has been done with regard to the boosters.
It's always been around, especially in schools. You know those kids who seem to cough for months on end....yep. It's underdiagnosed, partly because too many docs are quick to put kids on an antibiotic which would then render the diagnostic test moot.
According to the map showing where the different cells have been located, Columbia, Missouri, is home to Al Qaeda, Algerian Islamic Salvation Front, and Hamas. Perhaps a foreign MU student or professor is using the local population as guinea pigs?
