From The Newsmax article linked to below:
Tuesday, May 18, 2004 11:42 a.m. EDT
WSJ: Precursor WMDs Stockpiled in Iraq

Far from being an isolated incident, yesterday‘s discovery in Iraq of an artillery shell filled with sarin gas is just the tip of the iceberg of recently uncovered evidence that Saddam Hussein had a weapons of mass destruction program that was fully operational until the U.S. invaded in March 2003.

Tuesday‘s Wall Street Journal reports that U.S. inspectors have found within the last few months "warehouses full of commercial and agricultural chemicals," which, if mixed and packaged properly, "could quickly become chemical weapons."

U.S. forces in Karbala have also recently uncovered 55-gallon drums loaded with chemicals that were said to be "pesticide," some of which were stored in what military sources described as a "camouflaged bunker complex."

Why camouflage insect spray?

The alleged agricultural site just happened to be located alongside a military ammunition dump, reports Insight magazine.

According to the Journal, Iraq Survey Group head Charles Duelfer recently told Congress that some of Saddam‘s WMD facilities were newly built and contained "stockpiled" raw materials that would have allowed him to "produce such weapons on a moment‘s notice."

There‘s more.

In early April, Jordanian authorities foiled an al-Qaida plot to kill 80,000 people in a chemical weapons attack in Amman.

According to one of the conspirators, whose confession was broadcast on Jordanian TV, al-Qaida WMD specialist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who reportedly was last seen in a chilling video beheading Nick Berg, trained and outfitted the WMD attackers in pre-war Iraq.

Like notorious terrorists Abu Nidal and Abu Abbas, Zarqawi enjoyed sanctuary in Baghdad, courtesy of Saddam.

Jordanian TV coverage of the Zarqawi plot included video footage of hundreds of gallon jugs containing chemical weapons that had been intercepted 75 miles from the Syriian border, where much of Saddam‘s pre-war WMD stockpile is believed to have been hidden.

The Zarqawi revelation comes on the heels of the April 26 explosion at a suspected chemical weapons factory in Baghdad, just as a U.S. weapons team arrived to inspect its contents.

Disguised as a "perfume factory," the facility was booby-trapped, investigators believe, to destroy evidence of whatever was inside.

We won‘t be surprised if, in the coming weeks, more sarin-laden shells are uncovered in Iraq. But in the meantime, the media focus on the Abu Ghraib prison scandal has obscured that fact that the WMD case against Saddam is already compelling and continues to grow.

Open Lavender and breathe deep......atta boy.

Now get back here and answer my questions in post 633.......

Please!

We love you.

Now a question, and no, I don't have a fish in this fry, but could it be that due to some of the adult pictures posted in the threads, the Moderators felt he was too young?

There are some sites that require proof of age and something about 13 years old, and hey, I don't know what I am talking about, as kitties are the only kids that matter to me at this time, I haven't seen a small child in months.

Did a google search on the term PRLNKA. I've read that in several Jihad messages posted about. Didn't know what it meant or stood for. Still don't, but interesting search turns up.

Dear PRECIOUS INDIE,

I don't know what caused this.

However, I do suspect that after you have a chance to calm down, you may well, [HOPEFULLY, PRAYERFULLY,] RECONSIDER AND REALIZE

THAT THE CAUSE

IS MORE IMPORTANT than even individual serious injury.

WE URGENTLY, DESPERATELY NEED YOUR PERSONALITY, PERSPECTIVE AND SKILLS HEREON.

And, leaving in a huff may well be the less admirable thing to model for Caleb.

More than a few of us hereon would be happy to plead your cause. But it would likely be easier with emotions calmed some.

I suspect Caleb would be better served to realize that emotions, feelings make tolerable servants but terrible slave masters.

In any case, Please know that we cherish and treasure you enormously. We support you deeply.

LM: I won't pretend to know what has gone into Caleb being banned. I have a hard time believing that a child could do anything dreadful enough hereon to deserve it--especially a child raised by Indie for any number of years.

In any case, I hope and encourage all concerned to reconsider and extend to each other every grace, forgiveness and 2nd chance that they themselves would wish for were the roles switched.

Blessings,

When AQ talks about kidnapping people, thoughts occur about soldiers and civilians in Iraq and not about Americans right here at home. They are among us in great numbers and sacrificing Americans seems to be a primary objective in their scheme of things. We need to take these threats seriously and protect ourselves and our loved ones accordingly.

If you were to think like a terrorist re: kidnapping who would you go for?

The no negotiation with terrorists would reach a definite problem point. Kind of like the show 24. Reality begins to look more and more like fiction.

(JP)As an aside I heard today that after Sunday's finale Alias will NOT be back on until January. They said it had low ratings, I can't believe it. That's Disney for you.

This is beyond strange, we had the pictures of the chemicals here at Free Republic, at the beginning and middle of the war.

I don't have a TV, so 'see' what I will see here, in the picture thread "You Gotta See this" and with the articles.

There are even pictures of the drums with the nuclear signs on them.

There was never a question in my mind that they were there.

Remember how every day there was a report "this is it", and then the tests would say "It was only insecticide".

You can kill me with "only insecticide". Let Truly Nolan spray my office with his bug spray and I may not get out, I turn bright red and can't breathe........

While the man spraying it is saying "Nothing to worry about, it won't hurt you".

We have always known that the stuff went to Syria and Iran.

Remember the Russian Convoy that got hit?

when all the truth is listed, france, russia, germany, n. korea and several other countries are going to have to be faced as a full enemy.

It is no wonder that President Bush is having trouble giving his speeches........ If he dared to tell the truth, we would have a world nuclear war and I do not know who the winner would be, but not us.

Thank you for finding and posting the article, I am glad it is out there, even if not really new to me.

You'd probably get in more trouble downloading music on your computer and not paying for it than the punishment doled out to foreign spies (i.e., the Chinese in New Mexico a few years back).

Read your post again.

Folks if you see a gallon jug, run like the devil is after you.

I would think that is what the jugs in the subways were!!

Call them water if you want.

They may have been the real thing, or of course it is possible that they were checking the timing of placing them.

How were they going to release them? Maybe with a few bombs, so the stuff exploded.

Or with the explosive wrapped around the jugs.

Some where there is a terrorist, acting as the time keeper and he can tell you exactly how long it will take to set it up.

Not hard to get the chemicals in, as they have stolen the tanker trucks and the different fertilizers for months now.

I think there was a thread on this a couple days ago, as I recall and may be off here, this location is near the China and N. Korea border?

From the article, it is hard to believe that they 'fell' off a truck.

In Russia, the truck driver would go to prison or death for loosing them.

Unless they are there for a reason? As in supply for terrorists?

Or they didn't know what to do with them, when the N. Korea train exploded and they had no "next" train to load them on?

Strange.
