Anyone else feel like we are on the verge of some earth shattering events???

Days, maybe weeks, but no more than a few months.

I haven't seen this specific threat by an FBI agent to Pittsburgh on TM, but that doesn't mean it wasn't posted.

{{Will we ever stop this visiting scientist crap at our labs?!}}

Scientist charged in Argonne bomb scare

By Art Barnum
Tribune staff reporter
Published May 28, 2004, 5:32 PM CDT

A Bosnian scientist visiting Argonne National Laboratory was charged today with disorderly conduct after he allegedly made a flippant remark to a security guard about having a bomb in his car.

One official described the incident as "a stupid joke of the worst kind."

The DuPage County Sheriff's bomb squad was called at 9:15 a.m. Thursday to the east gate of Argonne, near southwest suburban Burr Ridge, after Uros Radovic, 52, responded to a guard's question by saying there were bombs in his vehicle, authorities said.

Radovic and three other foreign nationals were ordered to exit the car and leave their bags in the vehicle, officials said.

Police used a water cannon to open the four bags. No explosives were found. Bomb squad investigators also searched a local motel the four were staying at and found no signs of explosives.

Radovic and his three companions have been in the country for several weeks conducting an energy workshop at Argonne, officials said.

"While this turned out to be a stupid joke of the worst kind, every threat must be taken seriously," said DuPage County State's Atty. Joseph Birkett.

Birkett said Radovic is in the country legally and "was performing valuable work, but if guilty, he has jeopardized his alien status and his career."

The scientist also faces up to a year in jail.

Besides the sheriff's office, the investigation involved the FBI, U.S. Attorney's office, U.S. Immigration and Customs and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Birkett said.

I think you are right. Little things until the election. And then the big one.

Dates........This is a stretch but, trying to think like a terrorist. Date 7-22 have we see this in some of EOM (or whatever he calls himself)post???????? Are the Somalia's Muslim????????
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Resolution 1425 (2002)
Adopted by the Security Council at its 4580th meeting,
on 22 July 2002
The Security Council,
Reaffirming its previous resolutions concerning the situation in Somalia, in particular on the weapon and military equipment embargo established by paragraph 5 of resolution 733 (1992) of 23 January 1992 (hereinafter referred to as the "arms embargo"), resolution 1407 (2002) of 3 May 2002, and the statement of its President of 28 March 2002 (S/PRST/2002/8),
Noting with serious concern the continued flow of weapons and ammunition supplies to and through Somalia from sources outside the country, in contravention of the arms embargo, which is severely undermining peace and security and the political efforts for national reconciliation in Somalia,
Reiterating its call on all States and other actors to comply scrupulously with the arms embargo, and its insistence that all States, in particular those of the region, should not interfere in the internal affairs of Somalia. Such interference only further destabilizes Somalia, contributes to a climate of fear and impacts adversely on human rights, and could jeopardize the sovereignty, territorial integrity, political independence and unity of Somalia,
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now look at the dates of other attacks...

July 17: Annual celebration of 1969 Ba'athist takeover of Iraq.
July 17, 1990: Iraqi President Saddam Hussein launches attack on Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), charging they had conspired with the United States to depress world oil prices through overproduction. (the official beginning on the "Mother of all Wars" and prelude to the August 2 invasion of Kuwait).
July 17, 1996: TWA Flight 800 "bombing" (according to George Stephanopoulos) kills 230 passengers.

June 25, 1961: Iraq announces Kuwait is part of Iraq (Kuwait disagrees).
June 25, 1993: U.S. launches cruise missile strikes against Iraqi intelligence for the attempted assassination of President George H.W. Bush in Kuwait City (and, unofficially, for the February WTC attack).
June 25, 1999: Fuel truck-bomb explodes outside the Khobar Towers in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia killing 19 USAF military personnel and wounding 515 persons, including 240 U.S. personnel.

August 7, 1990: Operation Desert Shield begins, in response to the August 2 Iraqi invasion of Kuwait.
August 7, 1998: Two car bombs explode at the American Embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, killing 224 people and wounding more than 5,000 others.

And

October 12, 1990: U.S. supports U.N. Security Coucil Resolution 672, a condemnation of Israel's attacks on the Al Aqsa Mosque that killed 19 palestinians. This is viewed by Saddam as U.S. duplicity at its worst, and a transparent attempt by America to appeal to the Arab street's sensibilities in order to keep the coalition together and remove Hussein from power. Hussein takes it personally, as his diversionary tactics in escalating the Arab/Israeli conflict are proven fruitless.
October 12, 2000: U.S.S. Cole bombing in Yemen kills 17 U.S. servicemen.

What do you think?

I definitely feel like something's up, but it may be from being so tuned in to all of the threats. I'd rather be informed and disturbed than ignorant and destroyed.

Mr. RR was a licensed, small plane pilot before he developed some hypertension and cardiac problems. He read the NOTAM from the FAA link and said...."that's easy, the President is coming." SOP, I guess.

Sure enough, I checked, and he is supposed to speak at the AF Academy in Colo. Springs.
