Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:

MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Sens. Joe Biden, D-Del., and John McCain, R-Ariz.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Carl Levin, D-Mich.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Secretary of State Colin Powell; King Abdullah II of Jordan.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Army Maj. Gen. David Petraeus; Sens. Joe Lieberman, D-Conn., and Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga.; presidential candidate Ralph Nader; Tim Russert, NBC News; Iraqi Governing Council member Adnan Pachachi; retired Gen. George Joulwan, former NATO supreme commander; former CIA Director Stansfield Turner.
You know, I think this week I may just take a pass on the shows.
This story about "abuse" at the prison is about 7 or 8 renegade, sadistic soldiers and the press is trying to undermine the good work of our soldiers. I don't think I can contribute to their efforts by letting plus I'm afraid I'll stroke out if I hear one more Rat talk about how disgraceful this is.
What's really disgraceful is the way the Rats are playing politics about our very security.
As do zoo animals.
Miniter made two really good points that really stood out to me:
(1) He laid to rest (again) the canard by the Left (I'm sure this will also be brought up, yet again wrongly, by Michael Moore in his new pik) that we funded bin Laden in the earlier Afghan War. Direct interviews with 'named' CIA officers (unlike Bob Woodwards 'unnamed sources') and US Intel documents showing that money NEVER was given to Arab Muslims, demonstrate that this accusation is A LIE.
(2) He has recently interviewed Iranians that are disappointed that their Shi'ite cousins in Iraq are being helped towards Democracy and that they have to live under an oppressive regime run by Mullahs. In addition, he repeated the stories about the candle-light vigils held in Iran for the victims of 911 and how these groups were beaten by government thugs, only to show up the next day and be beaten again to disperse them.
Too bad this stuff is not common knowledge among our media elite....or maybe it is, and they are merely omitting the information because they're too busy trying to get Bush.
That, I do not doubt. I do like the story of the teen who was held there, and wanted to become a US citizen and join the army. He liked the way he was treated, and being given a chance to study, play GameBoy, etc.
What is really disgraceful is how the dims want their power back, REGARDLESS of our security.
You forgot some -- BASH BUSH PRISON PRISON RUMSFELD SHOULD RESIGN BASH BUSH BASH BUSH PROMOTE KERRY-lite BASH BUSH PRISON PRISON RUMSFELD SHOULD RESIGN -- why bother watching?
Your evaluation: LOL.........AND true!
And, IMHO, showed the same bunch of perverts as the first batch. Which is why you aren't seeing them plastered all over the media, Geneva Convention and defendant rights be damned. If the MSM could use them to attack President Bush they would.
I missed that one..great story.
Exactly! Danny Pearl rightfully made headlines for a couple of weeks. Nick Berg made 2 days of so-so news. This whole thing sickens me. I have nothing but contempt for the major news outlets.
Not McCain again??? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Enough already. Is he the only Republican out there? ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH. Sorry, I feel better now.
Nick Bergs's beheading is not forgotten. American's don't care about the abuse at the Abu Graib prison. SecDef Rumsfeld received a huge vote of confidence from America this last week. Negative coverage from the Mainstream Media Leftists has not changed President Bush or pushed him off message.
If we let ourselves be blown by any little wind, we'll wind up faint of heart. Remember--most of whaqt the left has is made up, fictional, lies, designed to sway the election in the fall.
Why are they fighting so dirty, and so consistently and so viciously? Because they see that no matter what they say and do, the heart of America is NOT responding to their propaganda.
Still no Zell Miller?
Graham did sound alarmist during that press conference. OTOH one school of thought might be that the effect of exaggerating how bad the second set of photos were (or would be)actually serves to tamp down reaction when they turn out not to be as bad as advertised. I am not suggesting some ulterior motive by Graham here. I am sure he was disgusted and felt let down by some of his fellow military.
Good thoughts!
I guess Hillary hasn't given Timmy permission to interview Sen. Miller.
David Gergen laughs, and says it ain't gonna happen, and he says the democrats are hurting themselves by trying so hard to keep this alive.
Gergen also says the new negative polls on Bush also show that 54% of the American people do not want Kerry to criticize Bush on the war.
I'm so glad he loves himself that much.
Like that old SCTV skit where Dick Cavett played by Rick Moranis interviewed himself.
