Meg, you've been around here a lot longer than me...who are the research gurus who manage to find out every secret that ever was?
We need to start a quest to find out who it was...if we could put a name to the quote...I bet with enough pressure we could get her fired.
Right..one month longer LOL! This needs someone who stays at the hotel in Baghdad to really know..! I think it would be impossible to do anything but speculate. It is the kind of thing so many believe. Backhoe has a lot of files on subjects for reference. Many do archive articles but I don't know who could research this. Carl of Newsmax?
To find the likely female correspondent from this story, it can be inferred that "she", being notable and respected, must be at least in her thirty or forties. It should be possible to make a short list of a half dozen or so east coast magazines that cover international events, have the resources to send a journalist overseas and have a reputation as being big left wingers. Visiting each of their web sites and searching for recent Baghdad stories from female staff members it should be possible to narrow the list to two or three likely candidates. I'm open to suggestion on then how to narrow the list down to one name, but it's a start.
