I asked if the Senator had made any comments about an AMerican, Nick Berg, being beheaded.
most media outlets are spinning it that the prisoner abuse scandal was the reason for the beheading.
I've been on the phone all day complaining to CBS, MSNBC, local CBS affiliate, AP and certain Senators.
I haven't seen the video nor heard the audio. I choose not to. I don't need to see it to be madder than hell. I am livid. I had to take a sleeping pill last night I was so angry.

Glenn Beck will remove the audio from his site tomorrow and will not archive it. I woke up to it this morning, heaving slept through the warning. I'll never forget it. It takes horror to a whole new level. Beck focused on the Allah Akbar chanting in the background--said the order went out weeks ago to gather the sheep--Berg was a sacrifical lamb.
I love our President, but implore him to knock it off with the "Religion of Peace" garbage. Despite a tepid CAIR announcement, I'm not seeing appropriate outrage over this.
Last night, Sen. McCain appeared on Koppel's Nightline show. He explained that the Geneva Conventions were necessary because of our "Judeo-Christian- (long pause, gulp, nervous glance)...MUSLIM traditions." I've heard Judeo-Christian traditions used as a term for decades. Until last night, I'd never heard the phrase in combination with the M-word.
OMG, Hannity just played that audio again. I'll never get it out of my head.

Neal Boortz was all over this this morning. He refused to watch the video or listen. But I completely agree with his analysis.
Just like Sean is saying, we are dealing with animals, not humans. We have to deal with them as such, or WE are going to suffer severe consequences.

Beck focused on the Allah Akbar chanting in the background--When John Gambling played the audio this morning I was so horrified I didn't notice something peculiar about it -- but a caller to his program did: THE FIENDS ARE LAUGHING IN THE BACKGROUND.
Then I heard it again on Hannity's program in the afternoon, and that time I heard it: THE FIENDS ARE LAUGHING IN THE BACKGROUND.

Just because it's the truth doesn't mean it HAS to be shown. There is such a thing as choice in life - Hannity, and others just happened to make a bad one. My imagination is all I need to understand the horror of what took place - I don't, and won't, let the animals that killed Berg have the satisfaction of rubbing my nose in his death. Everything in life is not suitable for 'prime time'. Sean Hannity just lost one listener.
Keep this in mind before you abandon ship. One time I was discussing the Holocaust with an "average American guy". He "learned" in history that 6,000,000 Jews died because they "Did that to themselves - committed suicide." When you say "it doesn't need to be shown", that's because you are aware of the evil, you are well read on the subject, your "average" guy is NOT. Instead they hear "hey they beheaded a guy by accident while trying to shoot a religious video."
To: ntnychik
Savage was also playing it. Alot of posters said they could not discern the screaming of Berg from the killers, but I thought it was easy to separate it.
To: oceanview
it was horrible, how could one not tell?
To: familyofman
I'm sick of the decision by WABC radio that we needed to hear that audio.
Who the hell are they?

I tend to agree. I have not watched it and don't intend to. I get it and have for a long time, as have most of you. We are not the ones who need to see and hear this man being tortured and killed by our enemies. Those who are fighting against this war are the ones who need to be strapped to a chair and forced to witness it.
They live in complete denial of the horrible truth and I would give anything if at least some of them were forced to face it. They are the ones who need to hear Nick's screams over and over in their mind and see his eyes staring into their souls as they close their own eyes each night.

This is something we should all be aware of. Turning your head won't make it go away. If the American people are not made fully aware of what we are fighting how on earth can they be resolved.
I watched it, all the way through, and I'm a woman who can't even kill a bug. I watched it because I owed it to Nick Berg who died as an innocent by our enemies. If you do NOT look evil in the face, evil can take you over without you even knowing it.
These are barbarians we are fighting, not some reasonable "freedom fighters".

Sorry, but your imagination will edit it to a level you can accept. The truth can not be edited and should not be edited. THIS is our enemy, THIS is what we are fighting, hiding your head in the sand won't change a thing.

I did see some of the stills posted ofn FR and based on what you've all said I'm leaning towards the idea that I really don't need to see or hear anymore of it.If you've hesitated this long to see it, don't watch it. I wish to God I hadn't watched it, I cannot erase the horror of it from my mind.

Unfortunately, theb decision not to listen to it was taken out of my hands when, without warning, Michael Savage aired the whole piece. He's got to be the worst conservative talk radio host out there.

I heard Savage's opening as well, but didn't need too.
I think Michael Savage is so damned disgusted that the demwits continue to cry foul with the pictures of Iraqi prisoners, and don't give a damn about the slaughter of Americans.
I too am damned tired of the Kennedys of the world that can say and do anything they want about America and no one says boo. The ememy is within, and at least Savage is not afraid to say as much!
I am also tired of Kennedy sponging off the American tax-payer while trying to rip this country apart!!!
Not venting at you... just venting!
Thanks.

"...your imagination will edit it to a level you can accept."
Speak for yourself. Perhaps you have a stunted imagination, or love gore and violence of others to support what you already know is true. Many christians (I'm not one) refer to doubting Thomas to show that you don't need to place your finger in the nail hole to know Jesus was crucified.
I know the evil that took place, including the last cries of a dying young man - I don't need to glory in the act itself. If you need to glorify those those did the evil - enjoy yourself. Iprefer to honor the life that was wasted by animals with no sense of dignity and rightness. Those that try to gain reward by using the images of death deserve only contempt and sympathy for their lack of concern for others.
Join them if you desire.

You want to hide from evil, then do so, you can be surprised when it takes you over. What was done to Nick Berg can well happen to you or to one of your children. If you refuse to look it that's your business but don't try to play all sanctimonious about it. As for me, I refuse to allow Nick Bergs death be for nothing.

People who do not want to see or listen to this barbaric murder are not "hiding" from evil. My imagination is vivid enough to cringe when thinking about the evil that was committed. Reliving the actual event day in and day out the rest of my life is something I don't want to experience.
