The United States was effectively at war with Japan long before December 7, 1941. Even the defining moments in our nation's history aren't merely "accidents of timing."So, it wasn't just a coincidence that Roosevelt and Truman were in office when the Japs did their sneak attack on Pearl Harbor -- it was planned that way?

So, it wasn't just a coincidence that Roosevelt and Truman were in office when the Japs did their sneak attack on Pearl Harbor -- it was planned that way? The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor came after the U.S. had been fighting the Japanese in Manchuria since as far back as the 1930s. So it's no "accident" that it occurred during the Roosevelt administration -- in fact, it was very much a part of what the Roosevelt administration was all about.
