And yet even to this day the leftists in this country insist on calling Vietnam "Nixon's War" -- it's thirty freakin' years after the war ended, and they still can't bring themselves to admit that America's involvement in Vietnam began in the Kennedy administration and reached its peak level of activity and height of idiocy in the Johnson administration.

Yes, it's amazing that this is overlooked by the great unwashed, of course no 1/2 way educated person denies it. Vietnam caused Johnson to refuse to run for re-election, I mean, how bad was it? I was just a little kid, but as I recall, it was pretty bad.
Not that Nixon did a great job in finishing up there, but for sure he was dealt a hand to play, not cards of his chosing.
I hope that Iraq doesn't make this country like it was back in the early 70s, this is why Bush must win big in November, and why we must continue to prosecute this war to our utmost.
