The Mexican air force has released video footage of 11 unidentified flying objects that were only visible via an infrared camera.
The objects reportedly flew around a military surveillance plane, Reuters reported.
Jamie Maussan, a journalists and UFO enthusiast, told reporters yesterday the objects seemed "intelligent" because at one point they changed direction and surrounded the plane that was chasing them.
"They were invisible to the eye but they were there, there is no doubt about it. They had mass, they had energy and they were moving about," Maussan said after showing a 15-minute video. He says Mexico's Defense Ministry gave him permission to show the footage.
According to Reuters, the government confirmed the video was shot by the air force on March 5 over the eastern coastal state of Campeche as the aircraft looked for drug traffickers near the Gulf of Mexico.
"We are not alone! This is so weird," one of the pilots can be heard yelling, the news service reported. The plane's crew had just switched on the infrared camera after first picking up the objects by radar.
The objects were described as blobs of light that hover in formation or dart about, sometimes disappearing into a cloud.
One of the pilots said he became nervous after the objects surrounded the plane.
"There was a moment when ... the screens showed they were behind us, to the left and in front of us. It was at that point that I felt a bit tense," said Maj. Magdaleno Castanon told Maussan on a separate piece of videotape.
"This is historic news," Maussan said.
"Hundreds of videos (of UFOs) exist, but none had the backing of the armed forces of any country. ... The armed forces don't perpetuate frauds."

TRAGEDY COMPOUNDED: THE CONTACT APPROVED, THEN PUT ON HOLD
Just before the horrific events of September 11, we were preparing to go public with some astonishing news that was approved for release in late August: the Verdant High Command had finally authorized the human-Verdant contact project, and the contact process was to begin immediately.
This world-historic contact event, as you know, had been in the planning stages for many years and was to culminate later in this decade in a summit between the two species. Accordingly, the 870 prominent human contactees or "ambassadors," as Phil explains in his two books) were to begin going public. This announcement, called "Decision 2001" (the link for which is below), indicated that this
process was to lead to a full public disclosure of the plan during the year 2002.
As Phil’s publisher, I thought it best to hold off on this major public announcement until the UFO Expo on September 16 where Phil was speaking (whereupon we were to release it to you on this email list and to initiate an online conference--see below.) But sadly, this historic statement suddenly went out of date on the evening of September 11. I refer not only to the new and more dangerous world that this event plunged us all into, but also to the fact that the contact mission itself was directly affected by the terrorist attack.
With grief, but also with hope for the future, I must report that--on the evening of the disaster--Phil was brought aboard the Verdant ship to receive some unwanted news. He met there with Sarah, Martin, and Gina and was told that in view of that day’s disaster, the contact project that had so recently been approved had to be delayed. In one fell swoop, an amazing opportunity for our planet has been lost! But, as you will see below--the Verdants have not given up on us in spite of this situation (nor should we, in my view). Below is a recounting of the actual events, plus information on how you can participate in an online conference to discuss these developments with Phil and with many others.
A CHRONOLOGY OF PHIL KRAPF’S RECENT CONTACTS
March 2001, UFO Congress--A human ambassador (or Verdant contactee) attending the Laughlin, Nevada UFO conference secretly contacts Phil Krapf with the news that the Verdant High Command had approved the contact scenario that was soon to be updated in Phil’s second book. Phil
is sworn to secrecy and told he will be given the go-ahead to announce this historic news at a later date.
August 23, Southern California--Phil is visited by a human emissary and told that it is fine to now release the news of the approval of the contact project. This information is then pre-released to many of Phil’s key supporters, including attorney Daniel Sheehan, spiritual author Timothy Wyllie, and Paul Andrews, publisher of the Whole Life Times.

Are We Being Contacted by Extraterrestrials?

Summary: A growing body of work suggests that intelligent, benevolent beings from other worlds - known as extraterrestrials - have been and are contacting humankind. This fact alone will assuage fears that there is any intention of an invasion – for it would have happened already. This article presents historical and scientific data then combines this information with the reports that have been received about contact with extraterrestrials. The final section deals with material that is reported to be a direct communication with extraterrestrials called channeling.
Introduction
Reality is not as solid as it seems. Perhaps the central idea to metaphysics is that each person creates their own reality based upon their beliefs. This is all well and good until one gets cancer or a friend dies then it seems like that isn’t the case because why would anyone create something unpleasant for themselves? The scope of that question is beyond this article, but a practical demonstration of reality creation from a modern scientific point of view is found in Michael Talbot’s book, The Holographic Universe.1
The book unifies the independent research of David Bohm (University of London quantum physicist) and Karl Pribram (Stanford University neurophysiologist) to postulate that the world that we perceive is a holographic projection of a holographic mind. Pribram’s experiments demonstrate graphically that memory is not stored locally and that the mind behaved more like a hologram than a 3D storage space. David Bohm’s investigations into quantum mechanics lead him to the holographic theory of the cosmos. Quantum, simply put means recognizing sub-atomic particles as both particle and wave (mass and massless) simultaneously. This is completely incongruous to the human mind as daily experience suggests that everything has mass.
An example of how to imagine that we script our own reality is to consider the blind spot of the eye. Photoreceptors on the back of the eye translate light into energy through the optic nerve. The optic nerve attaches to the eye in the center, and where it attaches, there are no photoreceptors. Talbot’s book has an exercise in it that can be used to personally experience the blind spot, and how the mind fills in that area absolutely seamlessly. The exercise demonstrates how the mind only sees what it expects to see.
Likewise, there have been many reports of individuals witnessing UFOs hovering closely over populated areas and no one seems to notice. The first step in recognizing extraterrestrials is to expect that they might be here.
How is this possible? Quantum physics is expanding the notion of reality further by introducing the notion of additional dimensions beyond the three that are normally perceived. Albert Einstein postulated the fourth dimension as time, now some physicists, such as Michio Kaku (City College of New York)2, have postulated a ten-dimensional model of the universe.
With this in mind, it is more appropriate to label that which beyond normal reality extradimensional, rather than extraterrestrial. If an object exists in an alternate dimension, it will only be visible to those who are prepared to see it.
In order to help lift some of the veils of illusion, a context for extraterrestrials is needed for the first step in contact. The following sections illustrate the historical and continuing contact that humankind has had with extraterrestrials.
Human Origins
Charles Darwin’s theories3 are steadfastly adhered to in modern Biology and Physical Anthropology - the study of primates and human origins through the fossil record. Darwin’s well-known ‘survival of the fittest’ notion is predicated by a random genetic mutation – an extremely rare and usually detrimental occurrence – that very occasionally causes a positive change making that individual more ‘fit’ and therefore more likely to pass that positive change on to the next generation (reference). This process is known as evolution and if recorded history is any evidence – the process is so slow that humans have yet to observe a conclusive instance of it happening.
Modern Biological science has mapped the 3 billion base-pairs that make up humans and all living organisms. Mapping the human genome took over a decade and had hundreds of people working on the project world-wide at an expense of millions of dollars. It is unlikely that any other organism on Earth will have the same opportunity for mapping unless a significantly faster method is developed. Meanwhile, there are ways of approximating genetic similarity, however they are of course approximate and subject to variation in results. "Human genes take up only about 5 to 10 percent of the DNA; some of the remaining DNA, which does not code for proteins, may regulate whether or not proteins are made, but the function of most of it is unknown."4 Human’s closest genetic relative is the chimpanzee with somewhere between 97% – 99.9% genetic commonality.
Humankind’s next closest relative is the gorilla, followed by the orangutan – these three are known collectively as the Great Apes. The Great Apes have roughly the same body proportions, chimps obviously smaller than the others – and exhibiting more human characteristics (mostly, the ability to more readily problem solve and learn human language). However, even the untrained eye can notice vast differences between humans and the Great Apes – human hairlessness perhaps being the most obvious.
There are at least 10 differences between ourselves and primates, 7 of which are primarily focused upon, they are:
Upright Posture
Lack of Body Hair
Increasing Cranial Capacity over time
Subcutaneous Fat
Plugable Noses
Salt Ducts
Conscious Control of Breathing
There is a group of Physical Anthropologists that posit the "Aquatic Ape" theory, noting that nearly all of these characteristics are shared by another group: the marine mammals (exception is upright posture). The theory is then that humans developed in an aquatic environment and there is substantial evidence to support the theory.
Physical Anthropologists say humans have a roughly 6 million year gap between their last common ancestor with the animals – the chimpanzee. Couple this with the official 3 billion genes and the high end of the estimate of 99.9% commonality with chimps. This means 3 million (0.1% of 3,000,000,000) random and luckily positive genetic changes occurred in 6 million years. That means a consistent, linear inheritance of positive mutations every two years. Even given this infinitely against-the-odds scenario, chimps and humans cannot bear children at two years old, so standard human evolution it is a mathematical impossibility.
Keep in mind too that the best estimate is that the earth cooled 4 billion years ago and life began at 3.9 billion years. This means life had to ‘evolve’ about one new genetic sequence every year. Given these break-neck evolutionary patterns, one might expect to see countless new species emerging on a daily basis.
Amazingly, some academics continue to adhere to this doctrine even given the impossibility of the proposal. On the other hand, Cultural Anthropology (the study of living cultures) has at least one compelling story linking humanity to the stars.
Around 1920, two French Anthropologists were interviewing a tribe near Timbuktu, Africa called the Dogon. They had very detailed information about many planets in the solar system, and specific information about the star known then as Sirius. The Dogon told the Frenchmen that their tribe had been contacted 700 years prior by a group from the Sirius star system. Among other things, these Sirians told the Dogon that there was a second, much denser star that orbited once every 50 years around the larger star. In 1970, an astronomer photographed a small star next to Sirius and called it Sirius B – it had an orbital period of 50.1 years.
This astonishing fact prompted Robert Temple to assemble this story with many others from indigenous peoples that describe contact with people from other planets. In 1976 Temple published The Sirius Mystery and in it postulated that a third star would be discovered. "In 1995, French Astronomers published the results of years of study in the journal Astronomy and Astrophysics stating that a small red dwarf star, Sirius C, seems to exist in the system of the star Sirius."5
Ancient Structures: Pyramids (Egypt, Meso America, Mars), Easter Island Statues, Stonehenge
Alternate explanations for the construction of ancient wonders such as the Giza pyramid in Egypt or the statues of Easter Island are often ignored or laughed at by mainstream thinkers. Yet, there is something about these structures that puts a small tinge of wonder and magic into the life of even the most dreary existence.
While the structures on Earth may be explained away by improbable theories, it is difficult to ignore the face and pyramids on Mars. Richard Hogland6 has studied this anomaly intensely since 1976 when Viking spacecraft photographed what looks like a human face. Hogland has a great many theories about the geometries of the pyramids and the face (the Martian sphinx) and is frequently a guest on the Coast to Coast radio program. For years, the photograph was dismissed as a trick of light and shadow, but in 2001 NASA rephotographed the site and the face is clearer. An added dimension to the new photograph is that a lateral half of it gives the suggestion of a feline face, much in the way that the Egyptian Sphinx is part man, part cat. For those not involved in the manufacturing field, it is difficult to appreciate the effort that is required to machine metal to tolerances of a thousandth of an inch (0.001"). The surfaces on most moving parts of a machine are smooth and flat to about the width of a human hair (about 0.005") and this is only attainable at high cost by using specialized modern equipment. The surfaces on the bricks that are used to build the Great Pyramid in Egypt have approximately these same tolerances. An in-depth treatment of the precise tolerances of the pyramid are available in Christopher Dunn’s The Giza Power Plant, and it has some provocative suggestions about the possible function of the pyramids7 Suffice it to say, the equipment that is used to measure such small distances is only about 200 years old. There is nothing in the archeological record to indicate that ancient Egyptians had even crude versions of this equipment. Using modern construction techniques, the precision of the Great Pyramid would be considered overkill by one hundred times.
Tolerances aside, the Great Pyramid is still the largest and most complex structure ever built - it weighs approximately 5,300,000 tons and is about 480 feet tall. Until the 1900s, it was the tallest building on Earth, and still the most massive as it’s 2.3 million blocks could be used to construct 30 Empire State buildings (page 39). However, it is not the size that prohibits its construction in modern times, but the cost. To quarry and polish even one of the smaller 10 ton blocks would take weeks and cost over a million dollars. To build one pyramid would require more resources than the world has currently available. And, for what? A burial tomb? As the title Dunn’s book suggests, he concluded it was a power plant that used the natural pulse of the Earth to create piezoelectric power.
While there are alternate explanations for the existence of the pyramids, it is certain that at some point in the past an advanced civilization lived on Earth.
Crop Circles
The extraterrestrial connection to crop circles began with reports of strange lights and even UFOs hovering near and over the crop circle location. There are often reports of balls of light that float like bubbles – called orbs – around the circles, and these orbs have been caught on film by many cameras shooting the circles. The circles also resemble the ‘landing points’ where UFOs touched down as reported by many, Billy Meier (see section, Personal Reports) also has photographs of spacecraft landings that have produced the characteristic swirled circles.
Until the summer of 2002 when the movie "Signs" came out, most people were unaware of a connection between extraterrestrials and crop circles. Despite the circles themselves becoming increasingly complex and visually significant, they remain largely out of the mainstream. The world was quite convinced when the two Britons, Doug & Dave, claimed to be the creators of all crop circles – apparently back 300 years.
Since the 1980s, when the circles were first widely noticed, the forms themselves have evolved each year with breathtaking innovation and inspiring design. The circles – or pictograms as they are now known – are inspiring on their own and have a compelling quality. Certainly, some are hoaxes, but crop circle research has been taken up by some very serious science minded individuals and a science of crop circle research has manifested. There are specific reporting techniques and methodologies that are considered standard by the crop circle research community. Marshal Dudley (electronic and nuclear consultant), Dr. Levengood (biophysicist), and Colin Andrews are among those who are serious investigators of the phenomenon.
However, even for the weekend crop circle enthusiast, there are certain signs of a genuine formation:
Stalks: Especially in crops nearing harvest or brittle crops (e.g., oil seed rape is so fragile that it will snap if bent more than 40 degrees – samples of 90 degree bends have been found in genuine crop circles the stalks are always broken by human construction8. There are also ‘expulsion cavities’ on the stalks of genuine formations where it is thought the energy that laid the plant down is escaping.
Lay Pattern: According to witnesses and photographs, all genuine circles have a swirled effect and are laid down flat with well-defined edges. The stalks are often woven in a criss-cross manner, every other stalk and the centers have no starting or ending point – as if they laid down simultaneously.
Entry / Surveying Indications: In order to achieve the intricate precision necessary to create the formation discovered on August 14th, 2001 one would have to survey and stake the centers of each of the 409 circles that comprises the formation. A professional surveyor estimated it would take two days just to locate the circle centers – the formation appeared in less than 8 hours. Although hoaxers continue to try to create complex formations, the holes left by the stakes and the footprints are impossible to erase. Also, they cannot help but damage the crops in between the circles – and this damage is absent in genuine circles.
Geometric Complexity: Crop circle researchers often try to determine if a circle is a hoax by its geometry. Genuine crop circles have complex geometry that is often only noticeable after close examination.
Irregular Arcs: The Crop Circle in Pewsey, Wiltshire on July 16th, 2002 was one of the less flashy circles, it looks largely like a Nautilus Shell. Like the Nautilus, it employs a natural logarithmic curve, which may not seem like a big deal until actually trying to draw one. Even using computer aided design, the line can only be approximated by a series of finite radius curves. The curve of the Nautilus crop circle is perfect.
Personal Reports: Close Encounters 1 - 5
Since 1947 thousands of people world-wide have reported seeing metallic objects in the skies that they did not recognize and called them UFO. Undoubtedly many of these reports are aircraft or meteors, as well as hoaxes, but it is unreasonable to dismiss all reports, and some have verifiable evidence. The Close Encounter system was established to distinguish distant sightings of light or objects (CE1), from face-to-face physical encounters (CE5). CE3 is the best known since the movie was made with this title, and this indicates viewing the occupants of a spacecraft.
Dr. Stephen Greer began The Disclosure Project to systematically collect the testimonies of the Close Encounters from many people who are considered reliable witnesses: law enforcement, military, air traffic control, and pilots. From the Disclosure Project home page (www.disclosureproject.org), "The Disclosure Project is a nonprofit research project working to fully disclose the facts about UFOs, extraterrestrial intelligence, and classified advanced energy and propulsion systems. We have over 400 government, military, and intelligence community witnesses testifying to their direct, personal, first hand experience with UFOs, ETs, ET technology, and the cover-up that keeps this information secret."
Anyone familiar with UFO studies knows there is a strong link between the government and cover-ups with aliens. While undoubtedly intelligence agencies know more than they are telling, the aspect of the ET that is enlightened encourages focusing on positive, empowering information.
The cases in Dr. Greer’s files are generally intended to show objective and reliable support that could be presented in a court of law. The encounters he has documented are largely CE1 – 3, but there are many people who have had prolonged, face to face encounters with ETs including riding in their spacecraft and visiting their home worlds.
Perhaps the best known case of extended CE5 contact is that of Eduard "Billy" Meier. Meier claims to have been visited on several occasions by a being from the Pleiades star cluster named Semjase, as well as single visits from some other Pleiadeans. Meier’s photos of the Pleiadean spacecraft (beamships) are considered to be some of the best, clearest photos of UFOs. Meier is a Swiss farmer who lives high in the mountains, away from most civilization, and on a modest income. In addition to his photographs, he has audio recordings and metal samples from the Pleiadeans. The samples were analyzed by professionals in the recording and metallurgy fields and both concluded that while it would be theoretically possible for someone to artificially create the samples, it would have to be a trained professional in a very specific and demanding field. The prospect that one person could achieve mastery of audio, photographic, and metallurgical disciplines, especially a rural farmer, is highly unlikely.
In 2001, a mainstream veteran journalist from the LA Times published his report of extended encounters with a group of ETs called the Verdants. Phillip Krapf discusses his three encounters with the Verdants in his book, The Challenge of Contact, and the impact the experience had on his life as a previous non-believer in UFO / Abduction phenomenon. Krapf writes on page xix, "Nevertheless, the fact that I was now standing in an alien space ship feeling completely at peace, barren of any fear, seemed to belie the reality. My strongest emotion was intense curiosity."9
In the opening chapter, Krapf describes the circumstances that lead to his second encounter with the Verdants in January 2000. On the morning of April 2, 1999 he received the message, "Seek out the angel and you will be sought in return." (page 2) He relays the events that transpired in order for him to find the angel, who was an intermediary between the ETs and himself, who claims to be the spokesman for the Earth human ambassadors.
Channeled Material
[Qx: I consider channeling to be more or less totally demonic originated and effected]
Channeling is the idea of connecting with another entity and relaying its message though spoken or written word – basically telepathy with non-human entities. The phenomenon was largely popularized by Jane Roberts who channeled a disincarnate being called Seth. The Seth Material10 has been read by millions and is considered some of the foundational material of metaphysical studies. Channeling is translating the thought forms of another being and putting them into the channeler’s language. In this way, a common language is not necessary, for the thought forms are symbols and can travel anywhere across the universe instantly. However, as this process involves an integration of the information, some of the personality of the channeler comes through. There is a range of vibration that ranges from the dark to light, and this influences the tone of the material. For instance, while all channeled ET material acknowledges that the ETs are awakened beings, some blame the current state of the world on negative ET influence. Speaking metaphysically, this is counter-productive since this implies giving responsibility to another group rather than taking it on for oneself. If we are creating our own reality, then we are creating the negative as well as the positive, and there are lessons and meaning behind every action and object.
If possible, when first determining which channeled book to read, take a survey of several of the available titles. Most New Age and metaphysical stores have some channeled books. Reading some random pages, even opening the book, is often enough to be able to determine if this book is resonating with your personal journey at that moment. There are many versions of truth.
Three authors are consistently mentioned as recommended works: Daryl Anka, Lyssa-Royal Holt, and Lisette Larkins. Each author presents empowering, uplifting messages that address pertinent, contemporary issues.
From Larkins’ book Talking to Extraterrestrials (page 64):
"Dozens of cultures throughout the universe have gone through the transition that you are about to experience. Namely, that transition is a move from an isolated state of understanding that one is the sole inhabitant of the universe, to an understanding that one’s neighborhood is simply that: a neighborhood located at a particular juncture in the universe, a particular quadrant of time and space. Only your fear prevents you from knowing more neighbors." 11
Conclusion
For better or worse, entertainment largely shapes our expectations, especially films. Part of the reason people are not exactly bristling with anticipation for ET contact is that films portraying ET – or aliens as they are usually called – are seen as a kind of super-monster. Do people seriously believe that aliens may invade one day? On Oct. 30, 1938 a young Orson Wells delivered the performance of H.G. Wells War of the Worlds, using the format of a simulated news broadcast, announced an attack on New Jersey by invaders from Mars. Thousands of listeners, not realizing the announcement was a simulation, were panic-stricken. {Reference Brittanica)
In a survey of 78 films about ETs (excluding B-grade horror), only 8% of the films portrayed ETs as benevolent to humankind (2001, Day the Earth Stood Still, Contact, Man Facing Southeast, * batteries not included, The Abyss). Films portraying ETs as hyper-predatory or hostile came in with the highest, 41% (e.g., Alien, Predator, Independence Day, Signs), with some good some bad at 30% (e.g., Star Wars, Star Trek, The Fifth Element), and neutral with 18% (e.g., Cocoon, E.T., The Extraterrestrial, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, K-PAX).
In many ways, Contact most accurately represents the nature of what contact will be like – as the film suggests, it is a change in point of perception that will allow contact to happen. By allowing new light to shine on old subjects, a fascinating picture begins to appear, filled with potential and wonder about the next step for humanity.

Nine miles east of the Texas city of Marfa, far out into the West Texas desert at the base of the Chianti Mountains lies or rather, floats an age-old conundrum. Small, ethereal, lights suspended in the air with no apparent source, no identifiable location. They float, they ebb, they glow and move . . . and they defy explanation. The Ghost Lights of Marfa, as they've come to be known, were first reported more than a century ago. Robert Ellison, one of the first settlers in the area supposedly witnessed these mysterious glowing orbs in 1883. Since then the legend, and the surrounding curiosity, has grown. What once was a Texas-based story of interest has captured national recognition. And from the scientific to science-fiction, everyone has a theory. The Apache Indians of years past believed the eerie lights were stars dropping to earth. Some romantics describe the lights as the torches of deceased lovers wandering endlessly in search of one another. What about aliens or UFOs in the area? Too hard to buy? How about high pressure ranch lights, St. Elmo's fire, or car headlights heading down nearby roads or highways. Of course, that doesn't explain why the lights have been around since way before electricity or cars were part of the landscape. Thousands of visitors flock yearly to the small desert plain to witness the Ghost Lights. Few leave disappointed. And few have the same story. Some say the lights are pure white and constant. Others say they are colorful and mobile. Some never see more than three at a time. Others have reported noticing up to 10 dancing in the desert air. The only consensus: They definitely exist. So why not just grab a handful of rocket scientists and go out and study them? Quite simply, no one can get near enough. Those who've tried leave frustrated, as the mystery lights disappear when approached. So which is it? Science or sci-fi? Phenomenon or prank? The truth is, maybe it's better not to know. As of now, the mystery is real, defying explanation . . . and fueling imaginations.

What did the government say about the IR video taken at Waco? I do remember the so-called experts talking about how they believed certain artifacts that seemed like flashes were indeed gunshot flashes. There are several problems with being certain with that. One, in the far field, small events are less than one image pixel on the focal plane and as such can not be a true image but only illuminating that pixel. The second problem is the normal "shutter" speed is only 1/30 of a second which is slow for a gunshot event and will miss a portion of that event.
I did not see the video but I would have asked the question or tried to determine the distance of the camera from the alleged gunshots, then compare the expected fill in the focal plane with the actual using data from the digitized images. If they agreed it could be gunshots, if they did not, they are just some artifact of unknown origin.

I will do some investigation into the credentials of the so-called inventor of the IR camera as FLIR is a trade mark. I doubt, as you claim, that the expert testimony came from the inventor. It may have come from a person with financial interests in the sale and use of such technology by local and federal agencies but on the other hand, refuting the governments expert witness would not be smart. I suspect the expert witness had an ax to grind. As I said, I will do some research and get back to you on this, as I nor you were at the hearings.
